Sussex beat Durham by five wickets

    Danny Briggs

Right ladies and gents, that's your lot for tonight.

It wasn't quite the boundary-laden run-fest you might have been hoping for, but there are still a couple more games for that to happen this weekend.

Worcestershire Rapids take on Gloucestershire on Saturday and Somerset host defending champs Notts Outlaws on Sunday.

We'll be back with live text commentary on both games and of course Finals Day.

    Enjoy your Bank Holiday!

  2. I'm in the form of my life - Evans

Sussex beat Durham by five wickets

    Laurie Evans

Laurie Evans told Sky Sports after making his sixth fifty of the 2018 competition:

"I feel like I'm in the form of my life and hitting the ball really well.

"Today was quite easy in terms of what was required - the bowlers set it up nicely.

"I've got good memories of Edgbaston in finals day, it's a great day and a long time coming for this club, so it's great to get back there."

  5. 'We kept losing wickets at crucial times'

Sussex beat Durham by five wickets

Durham captain Tom Latham told Sky Sports:

"We got off to a flier, pace on the ball can sometimes work in the batsman's favour, but every time we managed to make a partnership they took wickets,

"Chasing 140, we did get a couple of early wickets, but those two boys took the game away from us.

"150, 160 would have been our par score, unfortunately we kept losing wickets at crucial times and couldn't quite build those partnerships.

"You need everything to go our way when you're chasing a score like that, but it didn't go for us."

  6. Briggs 'my go to man'

Sussex beat Durham by five wickets

    Danny Briggs

Sussex captain Luke Wright told Sky Sports:

"I think the way we got it back with the spinners was key.

"We've got big names with our seamers, but throughout the tournament Danny Briggs has been my go to man.

"I always feel if we get back in our game with our seamers we could finish the innings well."

Special mention must go to this man too. Delray Rawlins played some gorgeous shots when Sussex were in a bit of strife early on before he was out for 42.

  9. Sussex spinners key to win

    Sussex win by five wickets

"Hats off to the Sussex spinners for dragging that powerplay back.

"They took regular wickets, which Durham weren't able to do and they put pressure on the ball.

"Hats off to Rawlins as well and how he batted - he can take a lot of momentum into finals day."
