  1. Post update

And there ends another thrilling day in the County Championship.

I'll be back tomorrow along with Josh Hunt and Katie Whyatt.

Enjoy the rest of your evenings!

  2. Close of play at Old Trafford

    Lancashire 194-6 (target 323)

And that ends another absorbing day at Old Trafford.

Lancashire require another 129 for victory, but only have three wickets left with Liam Livingstone unable to bat.

That wicket of Jos Buttler late on was massive for Yorkshire.

  3. Post update

    Lancashire 190-6 (target 323)

Steven Patterson will bowl the final over of the day.

  4. Post update

On a quick side note, Sussex have beaten Glamorgan by an innings and 154 runs inside two days at Hove.

All 20 Glamorgan wickets have fallen in just over two sessions. Mad game.

  5. WICKET

    Buttler c Vilas b Root 59 (Lancs 190-6, target 323)

    Joe Root has done it!!!

Jos Buttler tries to sweep his England captain, but the ball comes off the back of his bat and Kane Williamson grabs on at leg slip.

HUGE moment in this Roses match. Graham Onions comes out for the seven balls remaining this evening.

  6. Post update

    Lancashire 190-5 (target 323)

Joe Root is on to bowl!

    Jos Buttler facing. Surely not?!

  7. Lancashire need 134 for victory

    Lancashire 189-5 (target 323)

Three overs to go on day two.

What a boost it'll be for Lancashire if Jos Buttler and Tom Bailey can survive until the end.

Steven Patterson comes on to replace the expensive Josh Poysden.

  8. Post update

    Lancashire 186-5 (target 323)

That's a slice of luck for Jos Buttler.

He gets an inside edge off Jack Brooks and the ball flies past his stumps and down to the boundary.

Four in the book though. That's all Lancashire care about.

  9. 50 for Buttler

    Lancashire 181-5 (target 323)

Jos Buttler goes to his fifty in style.

He rocks back and pulls Josh Poysden for a big six.

It's taken him 54 balls and has put Lancashire right back into this match.

    Four overs to go tonight.

  10. Lancashire require 149 for victory

    Lancashire 174-5 (target 323)

    Brilliant batting from Tom Bailey.

The Lancashire all-rounder punches Jack Brooks through the covers for four and then glances him down to fine leg for another boundary.

The runs are flowing late in the day for Lancashire.

  11. Post update

    Lancashire 164-5 (target 323)

Yorkshire haven't bowled well in the last half hour.

It's another wide one from Jack Brooks and Jos Buttler lays into it.

    He's five away from a crucial half-century.

  12. Post update

    Lancashire 160-5 (target 323)

    That's loose from Josh Poysden.

Short, wide, Tom Bailey slaps it for four.

If these two can stay together this evening, Lancashire will still feel hopeful.

  13. Seven overs to go

    Lancashire 154-5 (target 323)

The sun is out at Old Trafford late in the day! Maybe they will get in the final seven overs.

Josh Poysden is back into the attack for a bit of evening spin.

  14. BreakingLeicestershire beat Kent by 10 wickets

    Leicestershire (20pts) 229 & 76-0 beat Kent (3pts) 104 & 199

Harry Dearden's 55 helps steer Leicestershire to their target, lifting them to 3rd in the table.

The Foxes are four points behind second-placed Kent in the promotion race.

  15. Post update

    Lancashire 152-5 (target 323)

That's a lovely shot from Tom Bailey though, caressing Jack Brooks through the covers.

Bailey and Jos Buttler have put on 42 now. Lancashire still have hope. 171 needed.

  16. Post update

    Lancashire 147-5 (target 323)

That's streaky from Tom Bailey but the home fans won't care!

He squirts one off Tim Bresnan down to the third-man boundary and then flays one over slip for the same result.

    Eight precious runs.

  17. Post update

    Lancashire 139-5 (target 323)

    Shot!

Jos Buttler clips Tim Bresnan off his pads for another boundary.

    Buttler is up to 38.

  18. Post update

    Lancashire 133-5 (target 323)

Jos Buttler is still battling for Lancashire.

He smashes Steven Patterson through the off side for four, and then flicks him for another boundary.

Lancashire need less than 200 to win, but they're effectively six down with Liam Livingstone's broken thumb.

  19. Close of play at New Road

    Worcestershire 257 v Somerset 337 & 47-0

    New Road

Marcus Trescothick finishes day two with a couple of boundaries off Ed Barnard.

The former England opener and Ed Byrom have batted through unscathed to put Somerset in a commanding position at New Road.

They lead by 127 with all 10 second-innings wickets in hand.

  20. Post update
