  1. Post update

And that's where we're going to leave it, as England celebrate their tri-series win.

There's plenty more cricket coming up on the BBC - with England's men starting a T20 series against India on Tuesday, while the domestic T20 Blast starts on Wednesday, and the women will be in action against New Zealand again for three ODIs from next Saturday.

We hope you've enjoyed the series, and particularly the in-play highlights - thanks for your company and see you soon.

  2. Post update

Amelia Kerr bowled a memorable googly to remove Sarah Taylor, but the train had left the station by then - and Natalie Sciver kept England on track by hitting the winning runs.

  3. Captain's view

England captain Heather Knight: "I'd like us to start better, we saw how well the Kiwis got out of the blocks but that over from Brunty was outstanding, and we were just clinical through the middle. There have been loads of individual performances, everyone's stood up at different times and the more we can do that, the more consistent we'll be. Our fielding has been up to standard in the last two games, it wasn't at the start of the series."

  4. Post update

Continuing the highlights, Danni Wyatt got England off to a flier before she holed out for 50:

  5. Captain's view

New Zealand skipperSuzie Bates: "We thought we got off to a really good start, we knew we had to bat well but they just kept coming at us and putting pressure on with the ball and in the field. They've just been too good for us in all three games. We've just got to get better for the World T20 because the middle over's going to be crucial on those slower wickets.

On keeping Lea Tahuhu back until the 14th over: "We thought taking the pace off to Beaumont and Wyatt was the way to go, that the slow bowlers would be the most effective for us."

  7. Player of the series

England spinner Sophie Ecclestone: "It's great to win the series, hopefully more to come with the World T20. T20's my favourite format, so if I keep bowling well, hopefully I'll get my rewards."

    Sophie Ecclestone
  8. Player of the match

England pace bowler Katherine Brunt: "It was a good pitch, our bowlers stuck to their plans and bowled well throughout. When Sophie and Suzie get going they can be pretty destructive, so it's good to keep at least one of them quiet. There's a lot of competition for places, but it's brilliant for someone like Sophie coming in at such a young age and doing well."

  9. Post update

Time for the medals. Umpires first.

  10. Post update

It was then a bit of a procession for New Zealand's middle and lower order as England took regular wickets:

  11. Post update

While we wait for the presentation, time to whizz through some of the video highlights from today.

Sophie Devine hit a couple of early sixes, but the wheels came off for New Zealand after she and opening partner Suzie Bates fell.

  12. Post update

    Lydia Greenway

Ex-England batter on BBC Test Match Special

England have been very workmanlike, it's not always about playing fancy cricket - it's about getting the job done and they've done that really well.

For New Zealand, to use so many bowlers and not be really clear about why they're making their bowling changes is something they'll need to address.

  13. Champagne moment

    Eng 141-3

Sciver finishes the game in style with a four through mid-on!

  14. Post update

    Charlotte Edwards

Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special

England have a lot of depth and they know their roles - that's what's made the difference compared to the other two teams for me. They've been exceptional through the last few games, and it's been another professional performance.

  15. Eng 137-3

Two singles level the scores - so Fortress Chelmsford will not be breached!

  16. Eng 135-3

Six to win. Former Scotland off-spinner Leigh Kasperek to bowl - Sciver and Knight exchange singles, with the skipper getting the reverse sweep out of her locker. Sciver guides a single to mid-wicket, three needed for victory...

  17. Eng 132-3

    Need 6 from 24 balls

Tahuhu comes off after one over, perhaps a sign that New Zealand regard the match as over. Can England finish it this over? Jensen bowls, Knight and Sciver tip-and-run a couple of singles - more good running leaves England potentially within one shot of victory.

  18. WATCH: Kerr bowls Taylor with googly

  19. Eng 127-3

    Need 11 from 30 balls

Sciver confidently sweeps a "please hit me" full toss from the leg-spinner, and cracks a single through cover to reduce the deficit to 15. Knight punches a two to the mid-wicket sweeper, and a couple more singles mean Kerr finishes with 2-22 from four overs.

  20. Eng 118-3

    Need 20 from 35 balls.

Amelia Kerr's hat-trick ball... is driven to mid-off for a single by Heather Knight.
