It seems a long time ago but England started this day batting on. They batted for 40 minutes, adding 39 runs.
The declaration eventually came when Sam Curran was out for 40. Chris Woakes finished 137 not out.

When you win in 170 overs against the number one team in the world, I can't think there will be anything but a series victory.

coming through from the Pavilion End, there was a bit of variable bounce
throughout the game. We have not given any freebies away in this series, and
not given India any chances.
"We had the best of the
conditions, but used a lot of skills to make the most of it. We were lucky, but
the way Jimmy swung it was unbelievable in the first innings."

Kohli looks to have a serious problem, I hope for the series he makes it for Trent Bridge. But with back spasms, which we think he has, a couple of days' work could do it.
An India side with Kohli struggled, so if they were to go without him then I would really fear for them in the last three. I really hope he is fit – it’s the number one Test side in the world against England in English conditions. We need a competitive game, and a close series.

He has now had a very good two weeks. That declaration decision confused many but everything else he did in this match came off.

have conditions in our favour but you still have to perform. To go and get to a
position where you can declare is testament to that partnership. Jonny
(Bairstow) and Woakesy (Chris Woakes) were magnificent. I am really pleased for
Woakesy.

It was very impressive
from the bowling department, but there are still question marks with the batting. But I cannot
