Let's have a quick recap of England's victory before we leave you...

  7. Post update

England captain Eoin Morgan on TMS: "We're on a bit of a high, which is great. When you're on top of your game you want to make the most of it. As a unit today we really were - from the get-go.

"Jos Buttler and Jason Roy were outstanding at the top of the order. Alex Hales, Joe Root and then Jonny at the end - it took us to an above-par total, which we needed.

"Our bowlers continued to take wickets. Adil Rashid really did the game into his hands by getting that big wicket of Finch."

Michael Dearden: Well done England, another excellent performance. Now let's see what happens against a good team, India. It won't be so easy that's for certain.

  10. 'India series really waters the mouth'

England captain Eoin Morgan, speaking to TMS, on the India series: "It's going to be a great opportunity. It's going to be a huge challenge as well. They're a strong side who are consistent in all three formats - and they'll be hungry to do well.

"A tour to England which starts with three T20s and finishes with five Tests really does water the mouth. I'm sure they'll be as excited about it as we are."

I can't wait. It's rankings one and two playing against each other - a really exciting series up for grabs.

  12. Post update

England turns their attentions to India next, with three T20s, three ODIs and five Tests in a bumper summer campaign.

The first T20 is at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

These cricketers are at the top of their game, but they're always looking to improve.

  14. Post update

Eoin Morgan, speaking on Sky Sports: "It's a different format but a similar squad to the ODIs and that was another fantastic performance.

"We started really well with Jos Buttler and Jason Roy expressing themselves and we managed to kick on. With Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali down the order we could keep coming and hit 20-30 over par.

"But we really needed them because Australia batted really well. Thankfully we got a few important wickets that cost them at the end.

"We've got guys banging down the door and five of the top six guys could open the batting. We need to find the right combination that will help us win a tournament. I don't think we've found it yet but with two years until the World T20, this is the right time to start finding out."

John Dunthorne: Goodbye Australian cricketers. We all hope you have enjoyed your time in England.

  16. Post update

Man of the match Adil Rashid: "It's been OK so far. Hard work in the nets always pays off. It's about being confident and having a positive mindset.

"Even when Finchy was going well, I need to back myself. It's crucial having a skipper like Morgs - he gives the bowlers confidence to do their skills."

  17. 'Morgan has grown tremendously'

    James Taylor

Ex-England batsman on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Eoin Morgan is the best captain I've ever played under, in terms of his leadership skills off the field. The respect he commands in the dressing room is second to none - when he speaks everybody listens. That is so important. I always felt he could improve with his tactics on the field - and I'm seeing that now.

He has grown tremendously. As England have developed, he has grown as a leader and a captain.

Josh Davis: Justin Langer has lost more games to England in the last 14 days than he did in his 14-year career as a player.

  19. Post update

England captain Eoin Morgan on TMS: "After a fast start you can sometimes fall short of 200 if you lose wickets but we got up to 220, which was a fantastic effort.

We're riding high at the moment - they're missing some players but in the winter they had their strongest side out and we beat them 4-1 in Australia."

  20. 'This is Eoin Morgan's ship'

    James Taylor

Ex-England batsman on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

You always see Morgan cool, calm and collected. You never see a reaction. It might be different inside, but you never see that. He's got good right-hand men - and he has that in Jos Buttler, Joe Root, Ben Stokes.

This is his ship - he runs it.
