I felt for Moeen. Early doors he got attacked a little bit. He bowled tidily today. I definitely think the Bangladesh spinners bowled better but Moeen held his own today.

I think Broad got more reverse today. He started to bowl it fuller and got that extra shape. He is such a fierce competitor. He got the fires going.

  5. 'I'll struggle to sleep tonight'

England's Stuart Broad, speaking to Sky Sports: "It's tense - Test cricket never ceases to amaze. Tomorrow will be a nerve-wracking day. Bangladesh have played really well today.

"They have batted fantastically well. We'll come back fresh in the morning session, which has seen a lot of wickets fall in previous days. We now have a fine balance to make sure we don't concede too many runs but still take the wickets we need to win the game.

"I've played 99 games and I know I'll still only get three hours' kip tonight because of nerves. The key is to stop boundaries, we need to make them operate only in ones."

It has been an outstanding game and I think Bangladesh were right in their approach. At times it looked a little reckless but it put pressure on England's spinners. To load pressure on them was the right tactic.

Ian Bradley: One of the epic test matches where wickets and runs required in final innings appear to be on a collision course, mesmerising.

Paul Baldwin: Rubbish way to end a great day's cricket.

For Bangladesh it's hard to come back and find that form especially Sabbir, who has been in the zone and concentrating all day. What a fantastic day of cricket. Broad, picking up those two wickets at the end, has changed the shape of the game.

For the bowlers it's better to go back, get a bit of rest and come back fired up in the morning.

  11. Post update

Bizarre. The umpires are now taking a light reading in case they need it tomorrow. It is going to be one hell of a block-a-thon if they do.

That has to be an umpire's decision. It was darker yesterday and they played for another 12 minutes. We all come back tomorrow.

  13. Close of play

    Ban 253-8

Hang on, they're going off. That's your lot. Looks like we are all coming back tomorrow at 5am.

He's making a decision on length, nothing else, and he threw everything at it.

  15. Ban 253-8

    33 runs required

Another lofty shot from Taijul just drops over Moeen at extra-cover. The fielder prevents it running for four but the batsmen run two. Every run is precious.

  16. Ban 251-8

    35 runs required

Taijul - the number 10 remember - launches into Batty and hammers him down the ground for four. Risky but rewarding.

Broad has produced some brutal balls. He's really fired himself up on a very hot day.

It makes it so much harder for the batsmen when you get a ball like that. You lose confidence in your shots and your shape. Now, you're seeing the ball is talking.

  19. Ban 247-8

    39 runs required

A bit of a retreat from Bangladesh in that over - a maiden. Is Sabbir going to try and block out the remaining overs?
