  1. Goodnight

Thanks for following the live text and radio coverage today.

We've had three matches finish today which have change the title races in both divisions.

You can read all of our reports on this website for a more detailed review of the state of each game.

We'll be back tomorrow for more but for now it's goodbye.

  2. Close of play

    Notts 241 & 240 v Middlesex 247 & 48-3

And that's stumps on a day once again define by a late Jake Ball flurry of wickets.

We should be in for a cracking game in store tomorrow.

  3. Still going at Notts

    Notts 241 & 240 v Middlesex 247 & 48-3

It's still going at Trent Bridge in the only match left in action this late on day three.

Two more overs to bowl tonight.

  4. Close of play

    Surrey 329 & 23-0 v Hampshire 582-9d

    Adam Williams

    BBC Sport at The Oval

"Hampshire will take the spoils from this third day, but there still remains a tough task ahead of them as Surrey trail by 230 runs.

"Bat has well and truly dominated ball since early on in Hampshire's innings which means taking 10 wickets in Surrey's second innings will be testing.

"The wicket has also shown few signs of uneven bounce or deterioration, so more sunshine tomorrow should mean more opportunities for run-scoring.

"However, when a County Championship game moves into its final day, funny things can happen, so don't rule anything out tomorrow south of the river."

  5. Close of play

    Yorkshire 460 & 225d v Durham 265 & 39-3

Nightwatchman Graham Onions sees out the final few overs in a match that has very much got Yorkshire's mark all over it.

BBC Newcastle's Martin Emmerson said this shows the gulf between those at the top of Division One at those near the bottom, but Yorkshire won't mind as they look for their third successive Championship title.

  6. A room with a view

    Surrey 329 & 8-0 v Hampshire 582-9d

Surrey have seen out the first four of the nine overs they have to face tonight for eight runs.

  7. WICKET Burnham (lbw Patterson) 9

    Yorkshire 460 & 225d v Durham 265 & 31-3

Steven Patterson missed the morning because of family reasons but he returns to get Jack Burnham out leg before.

This could well be over before lunch tomorrow, and with Middlesex struggling at Trent Bridge, this round of matches could prove pivotal in the final reckoning.

  8. Payne leads Glos gallop to win over Glam

    David Payne

Three games have already finished today. Want to read about the third?

    Here you go!

  9. WICKET Malan (lbw Ball 11)

    Notts 241 & 240 v Middlesex 247 & 25-3

Nick Compton and Dawid Malan both suffered premature ends in the first innings, but have surpassed their combined 13 runs from that.

But Malan is out plumb lbw by that man again, Jake Ball.

That's his eighth wicket of the match.

Jake Ball missed a number of County Championship games this summer for Division One's bottom side through England duty. He only played in one Test match.

  11. Declaration

    Surrey 329 v Hampshire 582-9d

  12. WICKET Jennings (c Hodd b Brooks) 8

    Yorkshire 460 & 225-2d v Durham 265 & 18-2

Is there something about JBs today? Jack Brooks is doing a Jake Ball.

Keaton Jennings plays Brooks behind to the wicketkeeper and Durham look like they will get no where near the required runs for victory.

  13. WICKET Andrew (b Meaker) 25

    Surrey 329 v Hampshire 572-9

Another wicket at The Oval, but it's still not Sean Ervine....

Stuart Meaker finally gets a wicket after losing 95 runs.

  14. Gloucestershire beat Glamorgan by 10 wickets

    Glamorgan 220 & 232 v Glos 363 & 92-0

It's easy for Gareth Roderick and Chris Dent as they reach their victory target.

That means four matches have finished before the final day in the Championship. Who said long-form cricket was dead?

  15. WICKET Robson (b Ball) 2

    Notts 241 & 240 v Middlesex 247 & 13-2

Sam Robson has been guilty of leaving a Jake Ball delivery alone and bowled for just two runs.

Ball is turning the tide in this match and Yorkshire and Somerset must be loving this.

  16. WICKET Stoneman (c Gale b Brooks) 10

    Yorkshire 460 v 225-2d v Durham 265 & 17-1

Jack Brooks takes his 50th Championship wicket of the summer and it's an important one.

Durham opener Mark Stoneman plays Brooks to Andrew Gale at mid-off to give the Tykes a great start in the final innings of this match.

Durham require another 404 runs for victory.

  17. 150 for Sean Ervine

    Surrey 329 v Hampshire 542-8

Sean Ervine has just passed 1,000 Championship runs for the first time and now he reaches 150 in his fourth century of the Championship summer.

Meanwhile at Cardiff, Gareth Roderick brings up a half-century off 56 balls, as Gloucestershire are three runs away from victory.

  19. Glos closing in

    Glamorgan 220 & 232 v Glos 363 & 65-0

A quick update from Cardiff for you in the final Division Two match left to go to a result in this round of fixtures.

Gareth Roderick and Chris Dent are 25 runs away from victory...

  20. WICKET Berg (c Batty b Footitt) 46

    Surrey 329 v Hampshire 528-8

Closing in on a 200-run lead at The Oval, the Great Escape looks very much on for Hampshire.

But Surrey bowler Mark Footitt is doing all he can to get Surrey back into the match with a six-wicket haul.
