  2. England close more than 300 ahead

    England 297 & 414-5 v Pakistan 400

    Ali and Bairstow

Just a quick one to tell you how it finished on day four of the third Test at Edgbaston.

Half-centuries from Jonny Bairstow (82 not out) and Moeen Ali (60 not out) have given England a lead of 311 runs over Pakistan.

One more day to go in that one. Get all the reaction from today's play right here.

  3. Close of play scores

Yorkshire got that win in just before stumps were drawn at both Lord's and then Colchester.

Just before we close ourselves, a reminder how things stand going into Sunday and also who claimed victory on another dramatic day.

Division One (day three of four):

    Ageas Bowl:Hampshire 548-6 dec v Lancashire 310-4

    Lord's:Middlesex 293 v Surrey 415 & 234-6

    Taunton:Somerset (184 & 180) beat Durham (189 & 136) by 39 runs

    Headingley:Yorkshire (257 & 150) beat Warwickshire (179 & 180) by 48 runs

Division Two (day four of four):

    Swansea:Glamorgan (236 & 95) lost to Northants (321 & 267-9 dec) by 251 runs

    Canterbury:Kent (451 & 14-0) beat Worcestershire (211 & 251) by 10 wickets

    (day three of four):

    Colchester:Essex 358 & 163-4 v Sussex 448

    Leicester:Leicestershire 380 & 109-5 v Derbyshire 362

    Yorkshire 257 & 150 v Warwickshire 179 & 180

And in the second over of the extra half hour - Yorkshire wrap up victory by 48 runs.

Sam Hain is the last man to go for Warwickshire as Adam Lyth takes a catch off Adil Rashid. The England leg-spinner finishes with four wickets.

Victory lifts Yorkshire up to third in Division One. The start of a late run for them to retain their title?

    Division One
  5. Extra time at Headingley

    Yorkshire 257 & 150 v Warwickshire 179 & 179-9

Yorkshire have taken the extra half hour in a bid to claim this final Warwickshire wicket.

We'll have as many as eight more overs this evening to try and settle it without a fourth day.

Warwickshire are still 50 runs shy of victory incidentally...

  6. 100 partnership for Surrey

    Middlesex 293 v Surrey 415 & 213-6

Last half a dozen overs of the day being bowled at Lord's where Surrey are well and truly in control now.

Sam Curran (65 not out) and Ben Foakes (39 not out) have added more than 100 for the seventh wicket.

    Surrey's lead now 335 runs.

  7. Close of play at Ageas Bowl

    Hampshire 548-6 dec v Lancashire 310-4

    That's stumps in Southampton.

The end of three days of absolute toil for the bowlers on a benign surface.

Not really doing bottom-of-the-table Hampshire many favours as they collect just the one bowling bonus point.

A draw looks more than a little bit likely tomorrow.

  8. WICKET Wright (lbw b Rashid) 8

    Yorkshire 257 & 150 v Warwickshire 179 & 167-9

And now Yorkshire are just one wicket away from victory.

Chris Wright pads up playing no shot to Adil Rashid and that is lbw.

Three wickets for Rashid in quick time since he was brought back into the attack.

  9. WICKET Patel (st Hodd b Rashid) 4

    Yorkshire 257 & 150 v Warwickshire 179 & 157-8

Yorkshire looking increasingly like winning this one tonight. Jeetan Patel is stumped very smartly down the leg side by Andrew Hodd.

Just more than eight overs to bowl before the close but they could also take the extra half hour.

    Warwickshire 72 runs short still.

  10. Surrey lead by 300

    Middlesex 293 v Surrey 415 & 178-6

Surrey once again moving back into a position of strength against Middlesex at Lord's.

Sam Curran and Ben Foakes have added 70 runs for far for the seventh wicket.

  11. WICKET Barker (lbw b Rashid) 2

    Yorkshire 257 & 150 v Warwickshire 179 & 145-7

It's wicket time again for Yorkshire.

Keith Barker gets trapped back in his crease by one that skids on from Adil Rashid.

We could have an extra half hour this evening if Yorkshire want to grab the last three wickets. Warwickshire still 84 runs shy.

  12. WICKET Petersen (b Dawson) 98

    Hampshire 548-6 dec v Lancashire 300-4

A rare wicket falls at Ageas Bowl and it's agony for Alviro Petersen, two runs short of a century for Lancashire.

Liam Dawson forces the breakthrough for Hampshire with one that turns and takes out leg stump.

  13. Big scalp for Sussex

    Essex 358 & 124-4 v Sussex 448

Back at Colchester, Essex lose another wicket as they try to get themselves into a more comfortable position.

Tom Westley is dismissed six short of a half-century.

Ryan ten Doeschate and James Foster together now for the hosts, whose lead is only 36 runs with six wickets in hand on day three.

  14. Points in short supply

    Hampshire 548-6 dec v Lancashire 283-3

I think the expression that probably best sums things up at Ageas Bowl is - a bowlers' graveyard.

End of the bonus-point period in Lancashire's first innings and as you can see, it's been attritional stuff for both sides.

  15. WICKET Clarke (lbw b Patterson) 21

    Yorkshire 257 & 150 v Warwickshire 179 & 141-6

Wicket time once again for Yorkshire just when they need one.

Rikki Clarke is leg before to Steven Patterson, but he thinks he might have got an edge on it first.

Not to be though and now Yorkshire need four more wickets with Warwickshire still 88 runs short.

  16. England lead above 200

    England 297 & 308-5 v Pakistan 400

    lobster chase

Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali squeeze England's lead beyond 200 at Edgbaston in the Test match.

Yasir Shah continues to toil away. Like the match going on at Headingley, hard to pick a favourite in this one.

  17. Less than 100 to win

    Yorkshire 257 & 150 v Warwickshire 179 & 133-5

Psychological barrier crossed for Warwickshire at Headingley with less than 100 needed to win - 96 more needed in fact.

Sam Hain survives a huge lbw shout from Jack Brooks as umpire Steve O'Shaunessy shakes his head.

Lots of hands on hips from the Yorkshire fielders.

  18. Essex back ahead but three down

    Essex 358 & 97-3 v Sussex 448

Down in Division Two, Essex's bid to return to the top of the table is in the balance.

Sussex gained a lead of 90 runs earlier at Colchester thanks to Chris Jordan's unbeaten 131.

Dan Lawrence fell two runs before Essex could draw level. Tom Westley (41 not out) and acting captain Ryan ten Doeschate are together in the middle.

  19. England lose another

    England 297 & 282-5 v Pakistan 400

    Gary Ballance

Once more the Test match at Edgbaston has an intriguing twist.

Gary Ballance is again dismissed down the leg side off Yasir Shah and England's lead is still only 179 runs.

Local boy Moeen Ali strides to the crease.

  20. Resumption at Lord's

    Middlesex 293 v Surrey 415 & 143-6

They had a slightly later tea interval at Lord's as I gather the over rate isn't all that much cop between Middlesex and Surrey.

Surrey once again have dug themselves out of a bit of trouble with Sam Curran (21 not out) and Ben Foakes (13 not out) helping push their lead on to 265.
