  1. Stumps

    Jack Brooks bowled

So, a bit of a frustrating day weather-wise draws to a close with the Roses match nicely poised.

Unfortunately the rain had the final say at Northants and Trent Bridge, but there was still time for Sussex to beat Derbyshire by 10 wickets at Hove.

My colleague Paul Grunill will be back at 10:55 tomorrow with the conclusion of the four matches which started on Sunday.

Hope you can join him then. From me, it's goodbye.

  2. Close of play scores

    County Championship

    Division One

    Nottinghamshire 534 & 289-5 v Durham 447 - Match Drawn

    Middlesex 467-3 dec v Hampshire 131 & 100-4 - day three, stumps

    Yorkshire 308 & 236 v Lancashire 196 & 41-1 - day three, stumps

    Division Two

    Northamptonshire 444 & 75-5 v Essex 640 - Match Drawn

    Derbyshire 150 & 307 v Sussex 447-8 dec & 11-0 - Sussex won by 10 wickets

Leicestershire 341 v Kent 117-2 - no play Tuesday, rain

    Worcestershire 439 & 151-5 v Gloucestershire 364-6 dec - day three, stumps

  3. Stumps at New Road

    Worcestershire 439 & 151-5 v Gloucestershire 364-6 dec

It was only a matter of time, but play is called off at New Road.

It should be an exciting final day - Worcestershire will look to set a target and then have a go with the ball.

Let's hope the weather is our friend.

  4. Close of play

    Middlesex 467-3 dec v Hampshire 131 & 100-4

Just 17 overs were possible at Northwood today - but it's a fair miracle they got those in after all the heavy rain in the morning.

Middlesex will resume the final day needing six Hampshire wickets. Hampshire need to survive three sessions.

  5. Close of play at Headingley

    Yorkshire 308 & 236 v Lancashire 196 & 41-1

The Roses match is off for the day with no sign of the weather getting any better.

Lancashire need a further 308 runs on the final day, Yorkshire require nine wickets.

What a climax we could have!

  6. Rain stops play

Erm, still no word from Headingley, New Road or Northwood.

Although BBC Hereford & Worcester's Dave Bradley doesn't sound too confident of a restart at Worcestershire...

  7. Post update

With no play at any of our grounds at the moment, I'm going to take a short break, but will bring you news of any restarts as soon as I have it.

  8. Bad light stops play

    Middlesex 467-3 dec v Hampshire 131 & 100-4

They're also off at Northwood. Hampshire's Jimmy Adams has moved onto 47 with 19-year-old Joe Weatherley batting 36 balls for his four not out as they try to save the game.

The weather could play a big part in that mission with the forecast not looking great for tomorrow either.

  9. Bad light stops play

    Yorkshire 308 & 236 v Lancashire 196 & 41-1 - Target 349

It's been gloomy most of the day at Headingley and the umpires decide the floodlights are now taking over the natural light.

They players are off and that could be curtains for day three.

  10. The Television Show XI

Thank you for all your suggestions for today's themed XI. Now the side I've picked wouldn't win many prizes for balance - there's no wicketkeeper for a start - although it's only a bit of fun!

  11. Lancashire battling

    Yorkshire 308 & 236 v Lancashire 196 & 40-1 - Target 349

Lancashire opener Haseeb Hameed has got some temperament for a 19-year-old.

He's faced 61 balls for his 15 so far, up against a pace attack consisting of Tim Bresnan, Jack Brooks, Liam Plunkett and Steven Patterson.

It's been a good start from the visitors in their pursuit of 349 in tricky batting conditions.

  13. Rain stops play at New Road

    Worcestershire 439 & 151-5 v Gloucestershire 364-6 dec

The rain finally arrives at New Road after its slow journey across the country. We could be in for an exciting final day in the West Midlands if they don't get back on.

  14. BreakingNORTHANTS DRAW WITH ESSEX

    Northants 444 & 75-5 v Essex 640

The weather also has the final say at Wantage Road where the match is abandoned as a draw.

Northants have now drawn four straight matches, while Division Two leaders Essex remain unbeaten.

  15. Gillespie rules out Australia move

    Jason Gillespie

There's more good news, asides from that wicket at Headingley, for Yorkshire fans.

Coach Jason Gillespie has confirmed he will not be leaving to take a role with Cricket Australia.

  16. Listen live

    Every ball covered

BBC Sport's Isabelle Duncan is certainly enjoying herself at Headingley! To listen to live ball-by-ball radio commentary click on the live coverage tab at the top of this page.

  17. WICKET Smith (c Plunkett b Patterson 15)

    Yorkshire 308 & 236 v Lancashire 196 & 28-1 - Target 349

There's the breakthrough Yorkshire wanted and Steven Patterson has it! Tom Smith hits the big paceman straight to Liam Plunkett at short cover.

Luke Procter is the new man in.

  18. Wicket at New Road

    Worcestershire 439 & 130-5 v Gloucestershire 364-6 dec

Things are definitely getting interesting between Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.

Alexei Kervezee is such a frustrating player to watch at times. He's out today for 39, caught by Michael Klinger off spinner Jack Taylor.

Worcestershire's advantage is 205 with five wickets in hand. They need a partnership from somewhere to set a tough target.

  19. WICKET Dawson (c Robson b Murtagh 23)

    Middlesex 467-3 dec v Hampshire 131 & 72-4

There's one of the seven wickets Middlesex need (either today or tomorrow!).

Liam Dawson is caught by Sam Robson to give Tim Murtagh his second wicket. Can Middlesex win it today?

  20. Close of play at Canterbury

    Kent 117-2 v Leicestershire 341

It's officially a day-three washout at Kent. The heavy rain band pushed through a couple of hours ago, but it left the outfield saturated.

I've just had a look at the forecast for tomorrow - dull is the most positive word I can think of!
