  1. Goodbye for now

    Well, we'll leave it there.

A night which should have seen a new light-welterweight champion has ended in immense controversy.

I'll leave you with this snap. Every picture tells a story and that.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks, as ever, for joining.

    Taylor v Catterall
  2. Post update

The fact Catterall is yet to speak highlights the heartbreak he'll be feeling...

  3. What next?

Taylor has spoken about a move up a weight, but with the outcry of this, will he be under too much pressure for a rematch?

As for Catterall, it will take a while for the Englishman to get over this. He's shown he can fight at world-title level now, though.

Regardless of the controversy, both fighters are absolute warriors.

  4. A penny for this lad's thoughts...

    Jack catterall

Mike: Sorry, can't watch boxing anymore. If it's not rigged it's just a farce! #bbcboxing

Dan: What an absolute shocking decision, Catterall had that fight won easy and it’s been taken away from him, total embarrassment for boxing #bbcboxing

  9. 'I'm embarrassed' - Shalom

Taylor beats Catterall by split decision

  10. Post update

    Richard Winton

BBC Sport Scotland at The Hydro

  11. 'They can just see it different'

    Josh Taylor v Jack Catterall

    Steve Bunce

Boxing expert on BBC Radio 5 Live

Quote Message: I just want to add, and I'll sound like a broken record, I know. There are no corrupt, crooked, or broken judges. It's just guys ringside who get things very different to the rest of us. No one's getting brown envelopes.
  12. 'It's disgusting' - Moore

Taylor beats Catterall by split decision

Jack Catterall's trainer Jamie Moore tells Sky Sports: "It's difficult to put into words. You're talking about a kid that's worked all his life to wait for that moment.

"He stepped aside to allow Taylor to become unified champion. He performs like that, beats the champion in his own back yard and gets robbed.

"My son is 16, just getting into boxing, he will be thinking: 'Why should I?'

"It's disgusting. I don't know what to say. You've asked Jack to come down and speak, as if he can do that, he's heartbroken.
