  1. Watson stars as Texans beat Patriots

Houston Texans 28-22 New England Patriots

    Deshaun Watson

    In the late, late game...

Deshaun Watson passed for three touchdowns and caught another as Houston Texans beat the New England Patriots for the first time in a decade with a 28-22 win.

The Texans, whose last win over New England came in January 2010, have a one-game lead at the top of the AFC South Division.

"It is a big one," said Watson. "We can play with the top teams in the NFL."

Watson, who finished 18 of 25 for 234 yards, is just the third player since 1970 to have three touchdown passes and a touchdown catch in the same game.

He was also delighted to get a win over legendary Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

"It is special for me," said Watson. "Before he hangs it up I had to at least get one on him. I had to get this one."

  2. Ravens send out Super Bowl statement

Week 13 of the NFL saw the Baltimore Ravens send a clear message that they can challenge for the Super Bowl as they beat the San Francisco 49ers to join their opponents on 10-2 for the season.

The Green Bay Packers are still in charge of the NFC North after rebounding with a dominant win in New York, while the Kansas City Chiefs did likewise to strengthen their grip on the AFC West.

In a Sunday of surprises, the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins both claimed their third wins of the season in upset results, and the Cincinnati Bengals finally got off the mark at the 12th time of asking.

Thanks for joining us for another hectic Sunday of action. Recap all the Week 13 scores here.

  4. Ravens win possible Super Bowl preview

    Game of the week

The Baltimore Ravens edged out the San Francisco 49ers in a titanic battle between two teams who could well meet again in February’s Super Bowl on this evidence.

It was nip-and-tuck throughout the rain-soaked game in Baltimore, with MVP favourite Lamar Jackson leading the Ravens on the ground with 101 yards and a rushing touchdown, but struggling to match hat production through the air against the league’s bets passing defence.

San Francisco also had huge success on the ground, with 146 yards and a score for running back Raheem Mostert, before both defences took hold of the game in the second half as the game became a true battle of will.

In the end, it was Baltimore who managed to grind out the win as they compiled a gruelling 12-play drive that last six-and-a-half minutes culminating in Justin Tucker’s 49-yard field goal as time expired. The Ravens kicker is arguably the best in the business and made no mistake despite the conditions.

Both teams are now 10-2 and it will take some effort from any other side to stop them meeting again in February’s Super Bowl in Miami.

  5. Late games round-up

The Kansas City Chiefs solidified top spot in the AFC West with a dominant victory over the Oakland Raiders, who produced an ill-disciplined and toothless display to get totally outclassed by Patrick Mahomes and their divisional rivals.

The Chiefs scored five touchdowns and allowed just one field goal to move on to 8-4 for the season and provide a huge boost ahead of next week’s massive game at the New England Patriots.

The Los Angeles Rams may be clinging to their slim play-off hopes, but they battered the Arizona Cardinals to remain at least in the hunt at 7-5 and with games against the 49ers and Seahawks still to come.

Jared Goff threw for 424 yards and two touchdown passes, with Todd Gurley running in a score and wide receiver Robert Woods picking up 172 receiving yards for last season’s beaten Super Bowl side – who refuse to let their play-off dreams die just yet.

Brandon McManus was the hero for the Denver Broncos as he booted a last-second 53-yard field goal to beat the LA Chargers. Denver’s rookie quarterback Drew Lock made an immediate impression with two early touchdown passes in the victory.

  6. Early games round-up

The Green Bay Packers got back to winning ways after last week’s humiliation in San Francisco as they bossed the New York Giants 31-13. Aaron Rodgers threw four touchdowns in a snowy Big Apple to move Green Bay onto 9-3 as the NFC North leaders.

The Pittsburgh Steelers came from behind to beat the Cleveland Browns 20-13 as Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield suffered a worrying hand injury, while Washington produced a big upset by coming from behind to stun the Carolina Panthers 29-21 for just their third win of the season.

A kicker caught a touchdown pass for the first time since 1977 as Miami’s Jason Sanders got on the end of one of the best trick plays you’ll ever see during the Dolphins' stunning 37-31 success over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The almost unthinkable happened as the Cincinnati Bengals actually won a game! They were the only winless team left in the league before they ran into the New York Jets, who duly obliged by producing a shocking display in a 22-6 loss. The Jacksonville Jaguars also played woefully in their 28-11 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Legendary Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri had a nightmare as he missed field goals, had one blocked and had one returned for a touchdown as the Tennessee Titans ran out 31-17 winners. The end looks nigh for the four-time Super Bowl winner.

  7. Brandon boots the winner

Brandon McManus was desperate to be the hero tonight - and that's how it worked out with his late winner.

  8. Broncos win!

    Denver Broncos 23-20 LA Chargers

Well, he wanted the big chance in this game, and kicker Brandon McManus takes it to win it for the Broncos from 53 yards.

Brilliant. Calm as you like from McManus.

Quarterback Drew Lock gets a win on his debut.

  9. Chiefs batter Raiders

FT: Kansas City Chiefs 40-9 Oakland Raiders

Impressive from the Chiefs, but equally inept from the Raiders. Kansas City top the AFC West ahead of their trip to New England next week, and incredibly Oakland are still in the play-off picture at 6-6 despite such a woeful performance.

  10. Touchdown - Raiders

Kansas City Chiefs 40-9 Oakland Raiders

Oakland finally find the end zone after 10 quarters, yet Oakland being Oakland they find a way spoil it by getting the extra point blocked, and returned all the way for two points to the Chiefs!

    Kansas City Chiefs
  11. Field goal - Broncos

    Denver Broncos 20-17 LA Chargers

The Broncos edge in front with a near-perfact 52-yard field goal effort from Brandon McManus.

He seems to be fired up for this game.

    Over to you, Chargers.

  12. Touchdown - Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs 38-3 Oakland Raiders

It's turning into complete annihilation now as Darwin Thompson runs in for a four-yard touchdown as the rout is almost complete. Just don't rule out more points for the hosts.

  13. Browns all-but done

The pre-season hype train was all about the Cleveland Browns, but it's not turned out so well..

  15. Touchdown - Chargers

    Denver Broncos 17-17 LA Chargers

Keenan Allen scores the 51st touchdown of the day to bring the Chargers level with the Broncos in Denver.

Quarterback Philip Rivers found him with a 36 yard pass and Allen acrobatically launched himself into the end zone.

Rivers is having a strong game, having so far passed for 217 yards and two touchdowns.

Denver were sailing, and dare we say it, complacent.

Drew Lock's pass intended for Tim Patrick is intercepted moments later and the pressure is now on the Broncos to turn this one around.

  16. A word on the late game

Houston Texans v New England Patriots (Mon, 01:20 GMT)

    Jason Bell

Former NFL cornerback for Houston Texans

The Patriots are going to win this game but it's going to be good as both sides' coaching staff know each other and I always look for some tips on the Patriots when they play a coach who came from their organisation. I also think this game gives the Patriots offence an opportunity to get back on track because this Houston defence is not playing well.
