  3. Portugal lead at the break

    Russia 0-1 Portugal

It's half-time in the Confederations Cup in Russia and Cristiano Ronaldo's goal has sent Portugal in with the lead at the break.

The hosts could be on their way out of the tournament at this rate...

  4. England women thrash New Zealand

    Tammy Beaumont

England produced a superb display to thrash New Zealand by seven wickets in a World Cup warm-up game in Derby.

New Zealand were dismissed for just 130 with over 11 of their 50 overs left.

Laura Marsh tore through the middle order, claiming 3-7 in only 24 balls, with Anya Shrubsole, Jenny Gunn and Alex Hartley taking two wickets each.

Tammy Beaumont was unbeaten on 51 by the time the World Cup hosts reached their winning total of 132, while Natalie Sciver added 38.

  5. The reel deal at Ascot

Highland Reel showed his class to win the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot for trainer Aidan O'Brien.

The 9-4 shot, ridden by Ryan Moore, fought past runner-up Decorated Knight, with Ulysses in third.

Winning 19 days after his Coronation Cup victory at Epsom, it was O'Brien's first success of the 2017 meeting.

  6. Sinclair wants another unbeaten season

How do you follow up a domestic season after going the whole of the previous one unbeaten, do it again... says Celtic winger Scott Sinclair.

Brendan Rodgers' side won the treble in 2016-17 and dropped only eight points in the Premiership.

"I'd like to think so," said Sinclair, 28, on the prospect of repeating the unprecedented feat.

"I think everyone will try to beat us. Because we went unbeaten last year, everyone will be coming out the blocks and ready to stop our unbeaten run."

  9. Queen's: Dimitrov fights back

    Dimitrov 4-6, 6-3, 0-0 Benneteau

We are going to see a final set at the Aegon Championships but we aren't sure the crowd are particularly happy about it.

The Panama hats are just not cutting it in this heat. I am pretty sure I saw someone actually melting a moment ago.

The sauna-like-stadium is making for a relatively sleepy atmosphere but Grigor Dimitrov wins it 6-3 and they will play a final set for a place in the last eight...

  11. Goooooallllll!

    Russia 0-1 Portugal

We've got a Confederations Cup update (Cupdate...?) for you...

Portugal have taken the lead against hosts Russia, and it's that man Cristiano Ronaldo again. The Real Madrid forward now has 74 goals for the national team.

  12. The reel deal at Ascot?

Highland Reel has been popular with punters and heads the runners in Wednesday's feature race at Royal Ascot - the Prince of Wales's Stakes (16:20 BST).

The five-year-old, who will be ridden by Ryan Moore for trainer Aidan O'Brien, bids to follow up his triumph in the Coronation Cup at Epsom earlier this month.

Highland Reel renews rivalry with Jack Hobbs, having finished last behind the John Gosden runner in unsuitably rain-softened conditions in the Dubai Sheema Classic in March.

You can check out the Ascot racecards and results on the BBC Sport website.

  14. Ronaldo yet to speak to Real president

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez says he has not spoken to Cristiano Ronaldo about his future, but will do so after the Confederations Cup.

Ronaldo, 32, is said to want to leave Spain after being accused of tax fraud.

The forward, with the Portugal squad in Russia, signed a new five-year contract in November 2016, but has been linked with a return to Manchester United.

"The only thing I can say is Cristiano Ronaldo is a Real Madrid player," said Perez, who was re-elected on Monday.

  15. Roma eye Stoke's Shaqiri

Roma have made an approach for Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri, 27. That's reported in the Stoke Sentinel.

  18. Clarke through in Ukraine

    David McDaid

    BBC Sport Olympic sports reporter

England's heavyweight Cheavon Clarke knocked out a former Olympic champion to guarantee himself at least a bronze medal at the European Championships.

The 26 year-old - who competed for Jamaica at the last Commonwealth Games - stopped Abdulkadir Adulleyev by stunning him twice in the first round in Ukraine.

  19. Top seeds not handling the heat?

    Julien Benneteau

What is happening at Queen's this year?!

The top seeds are underperforming left, right and centre...

Julien Benneteau has won the first set 6-4 against sixth seed Grigor Dimitrov.

Earlier today Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was knocked out by Gilles Muller and if this match carries on the way it looks, Dimitrov will be the seventh of the top nine seeds to make an early exit...
