  2. Kohli's friendships with Aussies over

India captain Virat Kohli says his friendships with Australia players are over after their heated Test series.

India  won the final match  of the four-Test series to secure a 2-1 victory.

Prior to the first Test in Pune, Kohli spoke warmly of the tourists' players, saying he was "really good friends with all these guys off the field".

But asked after Tuesday's eight-wicket win in Dharamsala if that was still the case, he said: "No, it has changed. You won't hear me say that ever again."

During the series, Kohli said  Australia captain Steve Smith "crossed the line"  by trying to get help from his dressing room with the decision review system.

  3. Overton takes hat-trick but Middlesex closing on win

It's a tight one in Abu Dhabi - Middlesex are 276-7 and need another 28 to beat the MCC in the Champion County game.

Somerset's Craig Overton took a hat-trick to reduce Middlesex to 242-7 but John Simpson (73 not out) and Harry Podmore (7) have put on 34 so far.

    Listen to the climax here.

  5. Syria defeated by South Korea

    World Cup qualifying

    Syria defeated by South Korea

Syria's hopes of reaching their first World Cup took a blow after they lost their latest qualifier in South Korea.

1-0 victory  over Uzbekistan on Thursday had given them a chance of at least advancing to a play-off stage.

That match was played in Malaysia, where Syria's home games are being held due to the ongoing civil war in the Middle Eastern country.

But the 1-0 loss in Seoul on Tuesday leaves them four points adrift of the third-place finish they need.

We’re looking to improve the experience of our service, and how you watch videos online. To help us do so, we've got a few questions for you.

Head over to complete the survey.

  11. Liverpool's Lallana 'out for a month'

Liverpool v Everton (Saturday, 12:30 BST)

No confirmation from Liverpool as yet but Paul Joyce of The Times reports that Liverpool midfielder  Adam Lallana is out for a month with a thigh injury picked up playing for England.

Lallana played the full game in Sunday's World Cup qualifying win over Lithuania at Wembley and 66 minutes of last Wednesday's friendly in Germany.

  12. France a 'team with many talents' - Diego Costa

France v Spain (Tuesday, 20:00 BST)

    Kylian Mbappe

France's national team coach Didier Deschamps has said he sees 'details' of France great Thierry Henry in 18-year-old striker  Kylian Mbappe's game. The Monaco striker is expected to start this evening against Spain having earned his first international cap in Saturday's 3-1 win over Luxembourg.

Chelsea star Diego Costa is a doubt for the match in Paris, having left Sunday's Spain training session early due to an ankle injury.

Costa told football programme Telefoot, France are a "team with many talents, which makes them dangerous.''

According to Spanish media, coach Julen Lopetegui was looking to rotate his squad anyway, giving starting berths to Alvaro Morata, Iago Aspas and Costa's Chelsea colleague Pedro.

  13. Messi banned for four Argentina matches

With five World Cup qualifiers to come, Lionel Messi has been banned from four of them.

Definitely not good news for Argentina...

  14. Grim times for the Dutch

Netherlands v Italy (Tuesday, 19:45 BST)

Netherlands are in a bit of a sorry state as they prepare to host Italy in Amsterdam tonight.

The appropriately named Fred Grim will take charge as interim coach after Danny Blind was sacked following a 2-0 World Cup qualifying defeat against Bulgaria on Saturday.

That loss leaves the Netherlands fourth in Group A at the halfway stage after they failed to qualify for Euro 2016.

Italy are level on 13 points with leaders Spain in Group G.

  15. Iceland. Yes, we remember them...

Republic of Ireland v Iceland (19:45 BST)

As for Iceland, they are second in World Cup qualifying Group I, three points behind leaders Croatia.

Last summer they reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2016. You may remember that - England's footballers, beaten in the last 16, certainly do...

  16. Last time they met

Republic of Ireland v Iceland (19:45 BST)

    Roy Keane

The last time the Republic of Ireland faced Iceland,  Roy Keane scored twice with David Connolly and Mark Kennedy also netting for Mick McCarthy's team in a 4-2 win in September 1997.

Tonight, manager Martin O'Neill will give some of his fringe players the opportunity to impress in the friendly fixture.

"There will probably be a few players who will get their first taste of international football", he said.

"They will have the opportunity to press a claim for future appearances."

  17. Brady to wear the Ireland armband

Republic of Ireland v Iceland (19:45 BST)

    Robbie Brady

Burnley midfielder Robbie Brady will captain the Republic of Ireland in Dublin tonight as they host Iceland in a friendly.

The Republic's regular skipper Seamus Coleman sustained a  broken leg against Wales  in a World Cup qualifier on Friday and faces a lengthy rehabilitation process.

On Monday, manager Martin O'Neill said Coleman was "still pretty down" about the injury.

"The operation went well and it's just a matter of coming to terms with it," he added.

The 28-year-old Everton full-back has had surgery to pin the tibia and fibula in his right leg.

  18. Post update
