  1. Goodbye - sorry, Zlatan

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

We're barely in the swing of the day and already it's time for us to bid adieu.

Don't worry, though, we're heading off early to make way for the plethora - yes,a plethora - of live sport coming your way this afternoon.

There is our live coverage of three Euro 2016 matches, starting with Italy-Sweden which you can follow here.

We're also all over the tennis from Queen's Club, the rain-delayed US Open golf and Royal Ascot.

And let's not forget continuing coverage of practice from the Formula 1 European Grand Prix.

Plenty to go at there. Enjoy the rest of a sport-filled Friday and Sportsday will be back on Monday for build-up to England and Wales' final Group B matches at Euro 2016.

Have a great weekend, you lot.

  2. One more European paper then...

    Corriere dello Sport (Italy)

    Corriere dello Sport

"Ibra, pays the bills" is the headline on Corriere dello Sport. The paper says Antonio Conte will have to cage Sweden's star player Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

  6. Paloschi leaves Swans

    Alberto Paloschi

    Premier League news:

Swansea City forward Alberto Paloschi has left the club to join Serie A side Atalanta for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old joined the Swans in January from Italian side Chievo Verona and scored two goals in 10 appearances for the club.

The former AC Milan striker's transfer will be completed on 1 July.

"Everyone at Swansea City would like to thank Alberto for his services and wish him well for the future," a statement on the club's website said.

  7. KP and JP looking fancy...

  8. An update from Baku...

    Formula 1

Lewis Hamilton will finish top of first practice with a 1:46.435.

Nico Rosberg in P2 and Valtteri Bottas in P3.

A late quickie from Sebastian Vettel sees him leap from 10th to fifth while the flag is waving - he was on a used pair of softs, so has some juice still to be squeezed.

If you don't like F1, that will mean nothing to you.

    Lewis Hamilton
  9. Voice of an angel Antonio...

    Euro 2016

Watch Italy manager Antonio Conte singing- yes singing -the Italian national anthem for the Uefa Twitter account.

Can you imagine Roy Hodgson singing 'God Save the Queen' on camera? I don't know if I really want to see it, or if I hope it never happens...ever.

  10. 'You're playing all the right strikers...'

    Euro 2016

Morecambe and Wise Andre Previn sketch

As commentator Nick Mullins has pointed out, an outstanding headline in today's Guardian, which gives a nod to Morecambe and Wise's classic sketch with composer Andre Previn (one for the teenagers)...

    Euro 2016

After yesterday's matches, how will the home nations fair in the Euros?

Mark Glading: England may have "passion and pride in bucket loads" but sadly lacking in tech ability, precision and quality. QF at best.

Simon Richardson: Rooney's performances in this tournament have been Pirlo-esque. He could be the key to England going a long way.

By the way, we will be switching Sportsday off at an earlier time of 12:00 BST today so get your views in asap!

  16. Konta & Watson in action (hopefully)

    Aegon Classic

    Johanna Konta

The weather has been playing havoc with sport this week. Round one at the US Open ruined, cricket called off, huge hailstones (albeit briefly) at Northern Ireland's Euro 2016 match and numerous tennis interruptions.

The Aegon Classic in Birmingham is well behind schedule with Heather Watson still to play her second-round match against Czech Barbora Strycova.

British number one Johanna Konta is at the same stage and will face Belgian Yanina Wickmayer on Friday

Let's hope the clouds stay away today.

  17. Behind the scenes of Rio 2016 filming...

    Slow-mo's ahoy.
