Wightlink Raiders boss Jeremy Cornish says his side will not underestimate Invicta Dynamos when they meet in Saturday's play-off semi-final.

Raiders host Invicta having beaten reigning play-off champions Bracknell Hornets 9-1 in the last eight.

"Invicta are our biggest rivals and we won't be taking them lightly," Cornish, 31, told BBC Radio Solent.

"They've won the league for the last seven years before we knocked them off that hill so we'll have to work hard."

The Canadian continued: "Over the last two years we've been building a strong hate for each other and I am really looking forward to it."

Despite winning the Division One South title this season Cornish admits that the Raiders' main goal is to win the play-off championship trophy.

"We've definitely got our sights set on the play-off trophy. At start of the year that was our goal and it's still our main goal," he said.

"We just need to continue that momentum, it's about us being able to push forwards and keep working and it will all take care of itself."
