Wootton Bassett to miss 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket

Trainer Richard Fahey has ruled his stable star Wootton Bassett out of the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket on 30 April.
Unbeaten in five starts as a juvenile, the colt was an interesting contender behind hot favourite Frankel.
Fahey had admitted he was desperate to give the horse, who is named after the Wiltshire town famed for honouring fallen soldiers, another key piece of work after an earlier setback.
Wootton Bassett is also entered in the Irish 2,000 Guineas on 21 May.
