shane lowry never even mentioned in build by either sky or bbc golf ,all rory rory rory
Well done Shane Lowry; Makes no difference to me where you're from.Just checked out these posts when it reached 647.Can't be bothered reading them all.Have the bigots on both sides been posting all the way through??
Rory’s finished and so is tiger woods! Jordan Spieth is also lacking in what was meant to be the new tiger, he has a bad attitude problem!Great weekend for golf though a bad weekend on geography and politics on this 😂😂😂Well done once again Shane you done Ireland proud 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
I don't think I've ever seen a player grinning and laughing on the final hole of a major victory before. That sums Lowry's week up, he seemed to enjoy the pressure and the opportunity of a lifetime. He can win many more majors if he keeps playing like that.Fleetwood's time will come, sadly I'm finally beginning to accept that Westwood's chance has probably gone now. Good effort nonetheless.
He is Irish Eire, Portrush is in NI. Then BBC news presenter states if Tommy Fleetwood overcomes Lowry he will be the First Briton to win in 27 years since Nick Faldo???? Excuse me BBC have you ever heard of Carnoustie 1999 Paul Lawrie of Aberdeen?---You make a big deal about Lowry not being British and then completely blank the 2011 winner Darren Clarke who is actually from N.I.
@642To be honest I have no idea how international sports people choose to be paid their international earnings. All I do know is that every single article I read on the tournament quoted the prize money in GBP.
@639: You've proven nothing, offered no meaningful facts, made a claim you can't substantiate, & ignored the facts proffered. I agree entirely - pointless trying to talk to someone like you who is quibbling for the sake of quibbling. And squirming, frankly.Bye.
@613 In fact he is paid in US dollars...pull your neck in.
612 "Another reason why Ireland should unite so that we can all claim to be represented by the Open winner!!"Trying to politicise it is pathetic! Its a bit like someone insinuating that Lowry has only won as he now has an English coach!
Awesome...A HYS on the Open Championship winner & all some want to do is argue about passports, Brexit, Ireland, Britain, BBC, Sky, Murdoc, Uncle Tom Cobbly & all🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️Anyway we’ll done Shane & everyone concerned with the Open👍🏻👍🏻
638. Posted by Raedwulf Keep digging pal, the hole you have made for yourself is pretty deep now. Anyway as you are incapable of doing anything but repeating the same already proved incorrect crap ill let you have as many final words as you like. Pointless trying to have a sensible discussion with someone who blatantly ignores factscheers
@637: By your repeated senseless quibbling. Are you really this naïve? Do you think that the BBC aren't well aware of what potential competitors are willing to bid if they don't bid, what price the seller won't take? And they therefore pitch their bid accordingly. They may well have paid more than they needed to. But it wasn't £50M / 33% more than necessary as you allege.
635 RaedwulfHow am I making myself look foolish ?I am making a genuine point which you are completely unable to answer or more likely choose not to. What part of NO OTHER BIDDERS do you not understand ?. Do you seriously think the PL will turn down a £160 million bid for PL highlights if there are no other bids. You have already been proved incorrect with your ramblings maybe quit now
@633 mcNot quite sure how you derive that conclusion from what it says on the front of your passport, if you have a genuine one.British people are the citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the British Overseas Territories, and the Crown dependencies. So if you are living in England and have British nationality you are a British citizen!
@631: Whatever; I was typing in a rush. The point is there is NO obligation to sell Prem highlights to the BBC. You're quibbling pointlessly & making yourself look foolish in the process. It's in the seller's interest (ANY sport) to have highlights on FTA. Provided they can get what they feel is market value for them. The BBC bid what they felt was necessary to e.g. stop them going to ITV.
Brilliant couldn't happen to a nicer bloke and a whole sports page without a photo or mention of McIlroy or Woods. Keep it up BBC.
@632So what you are saying is that if I live in england i am not british if it includes northern ireland in the union ?Thats a very divisive and discriminatory and offensive comment.
@627 mcUnless it says :'UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND'on yours, you have a rather poor forgery!
626. Posted by Raedwulf RubbishSKY DONT sell the highlights package to the BBC the Premier league doesthe BBC overbid for PL highlights therefore reducing the budget for other sports. Are you seriously saying no one in the BEED was able to work out there would be little opposition for premier league highlights. If not then maybe they should get some new people in
