Michael Hoey's recent poor run of form continued when he missed the halfway cut at the Thailand Open on Friday.

The Belfast golfer carded a second successive round of 73 on the Black Mountain Course to lie on two over par in a tie for 121st position.

Hoey posted one birdie and two bogeys in his second 18 holes to lie 14 shots behind leaders, Pelle Edberg of Sweden, and Australian Scott Hend.

The 37-year-old has missed the cut at his last four European Tour events.
