Paul Dunne: Irish golfer turns professional after Walker Cup win
Irish golfer Paul Dunne, who shared the lead after the third round of The Open in July, has turned professional.
Dunne, 22, was 12 under after three rounds at St Andrews, but fell away in the final round to finish tied 30th.
"I am really excited to begin this next chapter in my golf career," he said.
Dunne becomes the third member of the victorious Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup team to turn professional, after fellow Irishman Gavin Moynihan and Shropshire's Ashley Chesters.
