The American coasted to victory, seven shots clear of compatriot Keegan Bradley and Swede Henrik Stenson.
Graeme McDowell finished on five over after a closing 72.
Shane Lowry was two further shots behind McDowell after a closing 69.
McIlroy was in a share of 27th place with McDowell tied for 40th.
