Rory McIlroy disappointed with tournament win record

Rory McIlroy prepared for his third Masters by admitting that he was disappointed to have won only twice in 100 appearances as a professional.

The 21-year-old landed his first title at the 2009 Dubai Desert Classic and then won the Quail Hollow Championship in America the following year.

"Having two wins in 100 tournaments is not good enough," said McIlroy.

"I definitely want to get that win percentage up. In the next 100 I would like to win 10 of them at least."

McIlroy's first major was the 2009 Masters, when he tied for 20th. He missed the cut in 2010 after a second-round 77.

"Having played here twice, I think I have the gist of the place," said the Northern Irishman.

"Just knowing where to hit it in certain parts of the green, that is the main thing.

"It is a great buzz at Augusta. Each morning is like waking up on Christmas morning.

"I am happy with my form this year. I have had three top 10s and had a couple of chances to win so I feel my game is in good shape."
