@115. "More importantly why's he messing about dressing up his mutts like that"Probably for his visit to NYC Pride?
@119. "I'd like to see the Merc's, Bull's and Ferrari's start from the pit lane."I'd like to see the Silver Barrows start from the pilane, one lap after everyone else.THAT would make for an interesting race!
It's so that people will have a British winner to switch channels to when the inevitable England collapse starts.

not sure why LH is unhappy competing with viewers of cricket and tennis. this traditionally in July is normal and although given exception to the last race, f1 over this season so far has become rather tiresome with little more than 1 team guaranteed to win .I prefer to get the race results first, then fast fwd the highlights to the precise lap of action then after about 10 mins return to life!
brands is too narrow for overtaking, not safe enough at 200+ and has poor facilities. it's a bike track that can't host f1 cars of thid ilk. Donnington, don't make me laugh. for speed, wet weather races, overtaking and racing, it has to silverstone.
@118Mmm, Just noticed that Sky and channel 4 have agree to show the one day cricket world cup finals on FTA channel 4 and then more 4 whilst the GP is on. But if you are at Silverstone, I'm sure you won't be too concerned.
@77. rtz62Much prefer other venues than this modified WW2 RAF Bomber Airfield. There was a reason it was called "Hanger Straight".Tracks like Brands Hatch far more demanding and interesting possibly for the drivers too.Silverstone has never done it for me and I've been there many times but, not recently. My heart sank when I heard ... Another Five Years!Lancaster Bomber:~ SORTED!
@100 Kevin.Consider this :~ Mercedes had an "unexpected" dip in form in Austria.. the Home Country and track of Red Bull. Of course, "official" reasons were given but, strangely puzzling the subdued body language of the team over all three days.Being Red Bull's home event, it's not possible that F1 Management had a "make it so" word or three in the Mercedes Benz Management's shell likes.
I'd like to see the Merc's, Bull's and Ferrari's start from the pit lane. That might make a race of it.
Fingers crossed for an epic British GP. I hope that Mclaren do well and that Norris is there abouts. Be great to have another grid mix up but the Mercs should be strong.Any issues with multiple sporting events at the same time, put your radio on.... I listened to the cricket today whilst working and it was epic...Shame it's not on FTA TV as with the 2005 ashes which created so much interest.
A brilliant weekend would be Lewis winning the British Grand Prix, England winning the cricket World Cup and Williams losing in the tennis!Fingers crossed!
In another F1 article on this website "Hamilton is unhappy with the British GP being held on this particular date". Surely it will have been the F1 chiefs who have decided the various dates so his "anger" should be directed towards them rather than the implied critisism of the British Authorities. F1 is a fading star sport at the moment in my opinion and I believe others agree.
Deluded if he thinks F1 competes in any way with the other 2 real sports finals. Watch so-called F1 "highlights" if really desperate.More importantly why's he messing about dressing up his mutts like that AND insta-whatsit-ing them; could be an underlying problem there. Very worrying.
@113. Posted by PD"Nobody will be watching this merry go round when there is the Men’s Tennis Final and the Cricket World Cup Final on TV"Boring and predictable as F1 may be right now, cricket, tennis and especially football are the very definitions of watching paint dry...
Nobody will be watching this merry go round when there is the Men’s Tennis Final and the Cricket World Cup Final on TV
True British champion = Nigel Mansell
I doubt it's an affordability issue, more of an active choice. I choose not to pay Murdoch and other media cronies ridiculous monthly fees just because they've monopolised certain sports coverage.I don't have a TV aerial or a dish and don't buy a TV licence. There's plenty to watch online for free. I watch F1 for free on All4 and couldn't care less that it's not live. Go on, get a life ;)
