"You have to look at Bottas to see where Mercedes were in terms of real pace"Well no, but I agree if you think Lewis was the difference you can look to the #2s. Bottas too outqualified the corresponding Ferrari 13-6, was usually ahead and more often in winning positions. He finished on similar points to Kimi despite being more unlucky or compromised. Which does this suggest was the better car?
Oscar winning performance from the Mercedes boys. I think they are playing stud poker. Don't show your hand until you have to! I think the clue is "we have some parts coming but its not an update." I wonder if it has anything to do with a front wing? Anyway, the acting seems to be working so far. With Leclerc and Seb out to prove whose boss, LH should just leave them alone to crash out together.
@ 293Yes, but said person might claim that Formula E should be banned because the heat generated by the friction of tyre on tarmac will burn a hole in the atmosphere through which the oceans will escape.Actually, though I say it myself, that's not a half-bad piece of Total Barnpot Thinkology.

How come there is a direct correlation between LH fanboys & insider EU Corporate Tax law accounting procedures?Well, if Fiat Chrysler do that and don't pay any tax and get away with it, then everyone else is just plain f****ing stupid for NOT doing it aren't they? I suppose if LH drove for VWF1 (Audi/Bugatti?) then the emissions scandal would have actually been Ferrari's fault as well?
@ 289Your story-telling smacks of too much exhaust fume consumption.
fiat chrysler is tegistered in holland, not italy, in order to dodge taxes. daimler benz pay tax in germany and merc amg racing pay uk tax. big diff!
@ 287 Forza Ferrari & 286 nosferatubites I was doing a late night stand-up gig a few weeks ago and Sebastian was there. After several drinks he did some karaoke. Anyway, after he had done his "I Did It My Way" routine, he hung around and started sharing tax advice with the rest of us. It was very insightful - especially all of the Ferrari secrets in how they prepare their tax returns.
@285, the saddest thing isnt the huge subsidy, it's the return of fag advertising. mission ~ more cancer now! worst cheating team ever.
@284So you’re saying that you have worked out all by yourself that Ferrari are dodging tax but nobody else has?😂😂
@ 285Even if you are an accountant you are very clever to know the internal accounting practices of all the F1 teams. Are you a lewis fanboy perchance? Amazing the EU is obviously in Ferrari's pocket as well as under the EU ECoJ they would usually prosecute any non-tax payers. How is $100 million from F1 a tax receipt? It's not tax at all. It's not as if the Deutsche car industry isn't bent.
In fact Ferrari are so poor the F1 group has to donate $100 million every year to them to ensure they don't have to live in poverty.Personally I think the FIA should make all the other F1 teams hand over 10% of their earnings to Ferrari. If they had done that then Kimi would still be able to drive there, because they could still afford to pay him, rather than sending him to Alfa.
@ 282 nosferatubites - depends upon the accounting method. Now if you include all of the bribes, ah I mean contractors, Ferrari pays for, then yes the $675 million would be correct. If you use the method that they send to the relevant tax department, then Ferrari only send around $67.5 million, minus $100 million in tax receipts, ensuring they don't pay any tax.
Everyone talks about Ham vs Vettel but my money is on Max. If not this year, it's a matter of time.
@ 280 50% more budget than Mercedes? The OFFICIAL figure for Mercedes F1 expenditure was $450 million for the 2018 season. So you're saying that that Ferrari spent $675 million? Really???
Ted has been sacked.
