Stewart criticises Bahrain GP axe calls
- From the section Formula 1
Sir Jackie Stewart believes anyone calling for the Bahrain Grand Prix to be cancelled due to unrest in the Gulf state are "out of order".
A week of protests is taking place to coincide with this weekend's race, organised by the opposition to the ruling royal family.
Stewart, responding to calls from a group of British MPs to cancel the race, says that "sport unites people", and that Formula 1 in Bahrain is "very important for this region".
