Arbroath 2-4 Queen of the South: Obileye double as visitors fight back from behind

By Kenny CrawfordBBC Scotland

Ayo Obileye scored twice as Queen of the South came back from behind against Arbroath to win their fourth consecutive Scottish Championship game.

The hosts appeared to be cruising after Bobby Linn's wonderful free-kick and Michael McKenna's penalty.

But three goals in 12 minutes from Obileye, James Maxwell and Dapo Mebude put Queens ahead at half-time.

Obileye added a fourth after the break to endure Queens stay fourth and confirm Arbroath's first loss of 2021.

The English defender-turned-midfielder has scored eight goals this season, three from the penalty spot.

Arbroath manager Dick Campbell: "First 25 minutes, we were we playing like Brazil. I can't believe we let them back into it. We stopped playing and started doing things that were alien to us, and didn't clear our lines. But I'll sort it out for next week."

Queen of the South manager Allan Johnston: "The way they came back speaks volumes about the players. We've got a belief and winning mentality now.

"Since Ayo Obileye has moved into midfield he's been different class. Isaiah Jones could be a big loss with a hamstring injury."
