Birmingham City 0-0 Brighton & Hove Albion: Hannah Hampton helps earn Blues draw

Birmingham keeper Hannah Hampton was in inspired form as the hosts held a dominant Brighton to a goalless draw.

There were no clear-cut chances at Damson Park but Hampton was regularly tested by shots from visiting strikers Rianna Jarrett and Ellie Brazil.

Blues - a point above their opponents in the Women's Super League - defended well but did not have a shot on target.

They came close to snatching a win in stoppage time but no-one could get on the end of Rebecca Holloway's cross.

Carla Ward gave debuts to new signings Ruesha Littlejohn and Emily Murphy but a lack of goals remain a problem for both sides - Birmingham scoring nine from nine league games and Brighton managing just seven in 11 matches.
