Women's Super League: West Ham United 2-4 Manchester United

Manchester United made it four straight Women's Super League wins with a clinical display at winless West Ham.

Alessia Russo tapped in the opener before teeing up Tobin Heath to power in a clinical finish.

Emily van Egmond's header halved the deficit, but Russo soon restored the two-goal lead with a close-range header.

Rachel Daly's cross found the net to give the hosts hope, but Christen Press's late strike sealed the points.

The Reds created chances at will from the off as the Hammers gave away possession cheaply, and Katie Zelem was allowed time in the box to place a chip to the back post where Leah Galton pulled back for Russo to tap in.

Moments later the hosts again lost possession in midfield and Russo powered forward before laying a pass off for Heath to smash a finish across keeper Mackenzie Arnold into the far corner for her first WSL goal.

The hosts had offered little in attack until Kenza Dali was given too much time to pick out Van Egmond with a pinpoint cross, and the Australian international headed in powerfully.

But United quickly restored their two-goal lead when Galton burst down the left and whipped over a cross for Russo to head in unmarked at the near post.

Having created little after the break, West Ham were somehow back in the match late on when Daly's cross-come-shot floated over keeper Mary Earps into the far corner.

But more slack defending left United States international Press unmarked at the back post to convert Lucy Staniforth's deep free-kick and condemn the Hammers to a fourth straight defeat.
