Dunfermline Athletic made it four wins from four in all competitions this term by coming from behind to beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle in their Scottish Championship opener.

The Highlanders took lead when Nikolay Todorov converted Dan Mackay's cross.

However, Dunfermline captain Euan Murray equalised with his fourth of the season from Dom Thomas's corner.

Ryan Dow put Dunfermline in front, then Declan McManus showed great strength and desire before netting the third.

Dunfermline's industry and craft in midfield was decisive in a match that looked like it could go either way for long spells, with the visitors having threatened through Dan Mackay and Robbie Deas.

Dunfermline Athletic head coach Stevie Crawford: "The pleasing thing was the response after going behind; there wasn't a panic.

"Our squad has improved every transfer window and I know what it means to the fans to be fighting at the right end of this table."

Inverness CT manager John Robertson: "Both benches knew going into the last 15 minutes that the next goal was going to be decisive. Ridgers made a great save then we didn't track Dow.

"Todorov is in bad shape. It looks like a rib or lung injury and he was our only fit centre forward."
