Matt Doherty: Tottenham sign defender from Wolves

Tottenham Hotspur have signed defender Matt Doherty from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.
The Republic of Ireland right-back, 28, has signed a four-year deal with Spurs.
Doherty made over 300 appearances for Wolves after joining from League of Ireland side Bohemians in 2010.
He becomes Spurs' third signing of the summer following the arrivals of midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and goalkeeper Joe Hart.
"I'm very proud to be joining such a big club," said Doherty.
"[They have] the best stadium in the world and possibly the best training ground in the world.
"Once I knew there was interest, it was a no-brainer for me.
"My time at Wolves was fantastic - I haven't got a bad word to say about the whole club at all. I just feel like coming here is going to take my game and my career to the next level."
Doherty played in every Premier League game of Wolves' 2018-19 campaign and helped Nuno Espirito Santo's side to back-to-back seventh-place finishes since promotion from the Championship. They made the quarter-finals of last season's Europa League but missed out on European football for 2020-21.
Spurs finished sixth in the top flight last term - ahead of Wolves on goal difference - and reached the last 16 of the Champions League.
Doherty's move is also a welcome financial boost to Bohemians, who had put a 10% sell-on clause into the deal that took him to Wolves.
On Thursday, the Dublin club missed out on a cash bonus after they lost on penalties to Hungarian side Fehervar in the Europa League.
Bohemians' chief operating officer, Daniel Lambert, posted on social media on Sunday describing the news of Doherty's transfer as "fairly seismic".

£15m seems far too low when Chilwell is £50m+.

I'm a Liverpool FC fan so I don't really look at teams below second place. I've vaguely heard of Doherty and Tottenham Hotspur but only just. Good luck finishing below second. You might reach a quarter final of a cup competition.
Only been a Liverpool fan for the last season then.
Spurs have got a steal.
I'd be gutted if I were a Wolves supporter.

I'm a Liverpool fan - a proper Liverpool fan. You're the reason we are hated so much with your muggy, childish comment. Grow up!
Thanks Matt for contributing to Wolves progress, I’m sure all the players and supporters wish you well.
Undisclosed fee should be banned from being used.
15 million for Doherty is a great return on investment for Wolves, but I don't recall them having another decent right back? Maybe they've got someone in mind...
