QPR: 4-2 Stoke City: Mark Warburton's side overcome 2-0 deficit

Bright Osayi-Samuel's 71st-minute strike was his fifth league goal of the season

Queens Park Rangers produced a stunning comeback in the Championship to overturn a two-goal deficit and beat Stoke City at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Four first-half goals in 11 minutes saw the Potters throw away a 2-0 advantage as half-time saw the teams go in all square.

The R's took the lead for the first time in the 71st minute through Bright Osayi-Samuel, who buried the ball in the bottom corner before Ilias Chair sealed the win in injury time.

The visitors had opened the scoring on 27 minutes when Sam Clucas slotted into the far corner for his eighth goal of the season and doubled their advantage four minutes later through Tyrese Campbell.

But the home side pulled themselves back into the game with a goal from West Ham loanee Jordan Hugill after a fine assist from Ryan Manning, before an equaliser from Ebere Eze who was unmarked to slot home past Jack Butland for his 11th league goal of the campaign.

Stoke started the brighter, but Rangers had a penalty appeal waved away in the 15th minute after Danny Batth appeared to bring Hugill down in the box as he attempted to get on the end of Eze's superb pass.

Mark Warburton's side missed two great chances minutes later, with Hugill putting Manning's cross over the bar from two yards out before a back heel from Manning to Marc Pugh was blocked by Butland.

Then came the manic four-goal spell before Stoke missed a chance to regain the lead early into the second half when Powell's acrobatic effort from outside the area flew inches past the top corner.

A blocked shot from Potters captain Joe Allen then set QPR up on a counter attack, but Eze's shot was tipped over the bar by Butland.

But QPR were not to be denied when Osayi-Samuel made it 3-2 and Chair made the game safe in the 91st minute.

With relegation Barnsley and Luton winning, and Wigan drawing, the defeat keeps the pressure on Potters at the bottom of the table.

Stoke remain in 21st place and are just three points above the relegation zone, having suffered three defeats in four games.
