West Bromwich Albion have signed winger Kamil Grosicki from Hull City and defender Lee Peltier from Cardiff City.

Poland international Grosicki, 31, has signed on an 18-month contract for an undisclosed fee.

Peltier, 33, has agreed a short-term deal until the end of the season after being given a free transfer by Cardiff.

"Kamil is one of the most consistent I've seen. Always a seven-out-of-10 who will give you a nine," said sporting & technical director Luke Dowling.

"Lee will provide tough, proven experience and 'know-how' for us across a variety of roles in defence.

"We felt we needed some cover and once we knew Lee would be available it made good sense to bring him in."

Albion terminated Chris Willock's loan from Benfica to allow him to join Huddersfield, but they still have both Nathan Ferguson and Chris Brunt on the books.

Ferguson's mooted move to Crystal Palace did not materialise, while club captain Brunt is also staying, despite holding talks with his Northern Ireland international manager Michael O'Neill at Stoke City.

The Baggies are second in the Championship table, two points behind leaders Leeds United and two points ahead of third-placed Nottingham Forest.
