AFC Wimbledon 1-2 Fleetwood Town

Paddy Madden's late winner saw Fleetwood beat AFC Wimbledon to make it back-to-back League One victories for the first time since September.

Substitute Madden's close-range clincher saw Joey Barton's side climb to ninth in the table and to within three points of the play-offs.

Shane McLoughlin had cancelled out Luke O'Neill's own-goal opener but the Dons remain in relegation peril following the defeat.

Dons defender Paul Osew threatened within 40 seconds, firing wide from the edge of the box after intercepting a loose ball.

After good work from Jack Rudoni, McLoughlin's driven effort was blocked before Joe Pigott's shot on the turn was deflected wide as the hosts started very strongly.

Fleetwood took the lead in scrappy style after 22 minutes when O'Neill diverted the ball into his own net after the Dons' failure to clear a Town corner led to a goalmouth scramble.

The equaliser came when McLoughlin rose the highest at the back post to meet Rudoni's delivery and head past Alex Cairns after 34 minutes.

Town defender Harry Souttar kept the scores level as he crucially diverted Pigott's curling effort wide shortly after the hour.

Madden won the game for his side nine minutes from time, firing home his 15th league goal of the season following good play by fellow substitute Barrie McKay.
