Bolton Wanderers 3-4 Burton Albion

Lucas Akins scored twice as Burton recovered from 2-0 down after 10 minutes to register a thrilling League One win at bottom side Bolton.

David Templeton got Nigel Clough's Brewers visitors back in the game after Joe Dodoo and Daryl Murphy struck early for Wanderers.

And Akins' double put them 3-2 ahead at the interval.

The struggling home side, now 17 points from safety, also played with 10 men for 41 minutes. Luke Murphy's second yellow card from referee Scott Oldham saw Keith Hill's strugglers finish a man down for a second successive home game.

When Northern Ireland international Liam Boyce came off the bench to make it 4-2 after 81 minutes, the contest looked over.

Instead, substitute Dennis Politic, who had already had one effort disallowed for offside, pulled a goal back with a low right-footed drive four minutes later.

The 10 men should have levelled in stoppage time but youngster Ronan Darcy fired over with keeper Kieran O'Hara struggling to get across his line.
