I think that any of these ladies could easily get a game for Celtic!

Megan Rapinoe would be my choice she was that standout performer for USA in the World Cup winning the Golden Boot and Golden Ball in the process, plus at 34 this will probably be her last chance to win one.
How many comments will be removed by the BBC's 'wrong-think' moderating police!? Shocking ideologically inspired manipulation and propaganda from a national broadcaster.
@147. Posted bybill the bobber 'interest will drop' you say??? Looking at the average gates for these games, i would say that horse has already bolted. There is simply no way to make the womens game more appealling. There really isnt enough women who like sport to follow it and the majority of men(me included) dont even think its worth watching.
#149 Why was here move to Man City a plus - is that a reason for her to win it?
Who cares? My 15 year old nephew is better than all of them.
Ellen White would be my choice she had just moved to Manchester City from Birmingham so their was a plus. She was Englands top goal scorer and was enbedded in the fans psyche with her trademark goggle eyes celebrations. She is now a household name and like all strikers expected to score.Lucy Bronze was perhaps more of a fixture in England's set up and is classed as the best right back maybe bias!
"all-time leading goal scorer in World Cup history with 17, moving ahead of Germany men's striker Miroslav Klose (16)."WOMENS world cup history.Dont try and twist the stats to fit your agenda, BBC.I imagine if Klose was playing against that level he would be on 732 goals scored. They are two completely different levelz.
I have no problem with womens football, if you dont like it dont watch it.The future doesnt look good for me though. The top division is starting to have a familiar look about it - 3 teams currently with 2 'big guns' catching up who are all heavily bank rolled (you could name them without looking!). The FA need to ensure clubs like Bristol, Reading etc. don't fold otherwise interest will drop.
@142. Posted byPhrawgu being in the army does all that. Where is the HYS about that. I for one think that female soldiers deserve a lot more credit than this lot but do you hear anything about them???
Wow a lot of ignorance on here. These women are considered the best in their sport, and have all worked hard to get there. Having such role models should inspire and encourage girls to give football a go, and the more that do, the standard will improve. People who can only ever say "they are not as good as the men" really need to grow the hell up!!
Easy........have 2 separate football sections, one for the men's game and a separate one for the woman's game. A huge majority of people are not interested but the BBC promote it to a level that is completely unbalanced. Why the BBC haven't done this already is sexist as the woman have their own page, so why haven't the men. Also, far to many leftie male feminists about
Women's football encourages and brings together countless girls who are shown that females can keep fit, achieve success, be admired for honest work and look good (about which there's relentless and disheartening pressure on girls). Attention by the news media to the women's game helps that process, which no doubt lifts misery from, and heals the spirit of, many a lass. Boots on, sisters!
Can anyone tell me why rapinoe won the golden high heel when apparentlyl Ellen White? scored the same amount? Does reaching the final equate to one more goal or something like that? Shouldent it be shared. Oh wait, women wouldnt be seen dead in the same kit. How does that work with football strips then??? My missus went mad at a do because some woman had the same dress on.
