WibblerPlaying out from the back seems to give away more goals than it creates. Hopefully when you vary your tactics and have your full squad back things will improve. Not looking good for Watford Wolves and Villa though.Arsenal pulled one out of the hat so go above us but we’re still level on points with Spurs, Man U & above Chelsea. Long may it continue.
Disappointed that we didnt get anything from this match.its no good getting the odd 3 pts from one of the top 4 if you dont get anything from clubs in the same 'league' as you.Need to get our defence back in order.
Surprised no one has commented on VAR not giving Burnley a penalty when it clearly was to all pundits and video ref on BTSport that Barnes was floored in the area by a kick on his shin. What’s the excuse now. At least Barnsey didn’t get a yellow - he did v Southampton last year when flattened by the keeper - what does he have to do to win a penalty.Still above Arsenal and Chelsea so far.
A very good result. I was listening at the airport in Kefalonia and got funny looks from fellow travelers when the goals went in. My missus disowned me and wandered off saying I was embarassing. :-)UTC
what a Grate Player Chris Woody is ,, international Player for Burnley 56 CAPS for his Country , New Zealand
If Norwich continue with playing out from the back they will always cause problems for themselves. Simply they are not good enough to do that. They might have got away with it last year. The bloke from the Pink un says Wood prodded in the 2nd goal .Some prod that, haha.
OordvarkLevel headed comments are a rarity on here. I'm sure there is not a single Norwich fan who is certain his team will stay up. Yet they can see the bigger picture, and the club's future extends past the summer of 2020, regardless of which division they're in.And you were all a credit to your team yesterday, before, during and after the match.
oxenspursSpurs are just a poor man's Arsenal Reserves
So we lose at Turf Moor. Chances we lose more than we win and we will flirt with relegation again. No matter. Respect to Burnley and all clubs playing within their means for their local support, in both this league and the EFL. This is where you have the real stories - heroism, endeavour, teamwork, flashes of brilliance from under the radar players. Long may it continue. Onward and upward.
*9. Posted by Henry Diablo*"If Wood played for Arsenal he'd also play for England?" Funniest HYS comment I've read for years. He's been capped 56 times for New Zealand!!
Well done Burnley, what a difference a week makes for Norwich, this is the thing in the PL each week can be so different regarding opposition tactics, style etc, so hard to prepare.
9. Posted byHenry DiabloonWell done Clarets. If Wood and Barnes played for Spurs, Arsenal or Chelsea they would also be playing for England.Pretty sure if Chris Wood was at Man City and scored 50 PL goals this season,he still wouldn't get in the England team.I'm sure New Zealand, for whom Wood has 56 caps, would raise an objection.
number 42 @ightenhill. We're delighted with it! Thoroughly enjoy wearing teams down and watching for their mistakes. No disrespect to Norwich, credit to them for playing out from the back - great result last weekend.FYI if you want to see a nice goal played out from the back, have a look at our equaliser at brighton last week.
Norwich will have to play like they did against City, week in week out, to survive in the PL. After 2 very sloppy goals they defended better, but it was too late
@50 Thomas 118Back to your Panini album son.Norwich will be fine when the injured players return
Up to seventh now well done lads, of course we getting the usual stupid comments from the brain dead brigade, but we just laugh at them, not worth reading.
