@342 Sorry but I beg to differ... there is nothing but arrogance with some fans from the top 6 teams who seem to think they have a devine right to lord over the smaller teams. Then come on here and make ridiculous comments about the smaller teams not deserving to be in the Premiership. The Premiership does not revolve around the big 6 teams.
I would never have believed this a year ago, but that’s football. 5 years from now we will probably be battling at the bottom of the championship! That’s Football! But I’m loving this for now: go Teemu! Will be good to test a nervous looking Chelsea next week! OTBC
I think even Newcastle fans are realistic enough to realise that they are not very good.Cant think of 3 obvious teams that are worse than they are.
Steve Bruce has started to prepare for the championship. I mean he doesn't want to get caught on the hop for next season
From a Tykes supporter.I wish we had Pukki. How did other clubs miss out on him.A good 6 yd box player who will get a lot of goals out of nothing for NWI this season
Instead of Steve Bruce they should have appointed Steve Bunce!
Why is it that no one can accept that Norwich can actually play a bit?? Yes, Newcastle were poor....very poor, but you can only play against what's put in front of you. The entire Norwich squad were assembled for a fraction of Joelinton's fee, but on yesterday's evidence which club has spent/invested most wisely?? Webber and Farke don't get the credit from MSM which they deserve.O T B C
24 hrs after the match and im still laughing at newcastle and its fans.
Pukki was relatively injury free last season - let's hope the same for this season !
@337 I don’t eat fray bentos pies and I find your comments such uninteresting twaddle I find it difficult to take it all in.Such superior smugness from you ? Must be wonderful watching third division football.
Norwich fan for 51 years. City have a great manager, a great team and play fluid attacking football that is exciting to watch. No rich owners or overpaid players with silly haircuts who think they're better than the team. I started the season telling my two Chelsea supporter friends that my long standing Norwich motto has been 'hope above expectation' . . . . . . looking forward to next week OTBC.
Regarding RafaI used to work in Shanghai and let me tell you this. With a EU passport - getting a work visa is a procedural nightmare that takes (if you fast-track it) three months minimum. My guess is Rafa knew at Xmas that he was going. His vision is ‘pay me more and I will work for you’His tactics were to play boring inept ten at the back football to stay upEffective but woeful 2 watch
Ifear for the Geordies , Bruce is hapless but nobody wants the job anyway
339. Posted by Tony on25 minutes agoYou are correct but it is interesting to note the Rafa said he didn't want Joelinton and the others were last minute add ons. Had Ashley kept Rondon, he would have then kept Perez and if Rafa could be persuaded to stay we would now be on 4 points minimum. That's the difference.
Good luck to Norwich, played really well yesterday, wanted it more, more ambitious than we ever were, maybe Assley is planning for the future having a reasonable championship manager in charge of us.
Good on yer Norwich hope you survive but I doubt you will play a more disjointed team playing a formation that none of them understand with many out of their natural position. Lets be honest, with Bruce at the helm we might as well be preparing for trips to Nottingham and Derby next year as he's a total waste of space. Spurs next away, followed by Watford at home and Liverpool away no points there
340. Posted by NeilB73Silly commenting on the top 6 and bracketing them all as the same. Spurs have certainly lived within their budget and still do. They are now in debt for the first time in many years because of the new stadium which is understandable but are still doing business in the same manner. They are not effected by a possible owner moving on unlike some of the others.
Anything less than 3-0 defeat next week, will do for me.
