Delighted for Jags. He was a great servant for Everton. From the number of bitter comments on here there seem to be quite a few teams worried by what Everton might achieve this coming season. Worry about yourselves and whoever you support lads.
Everton Legend. Thanks Jags
117 slinky89why would he want to go and play in a league that is league2 level football?and he will play against far bigger clubs in the prem than any of the european teams rangers will lose to.jealousy is a cruel mistress and you stink of it.owl or leeds fan by anychance.enjoy the championship yet again
We all know how old Jags is and under no illusions, we know he won't play every game or be doing 90 mins regular. It's probably his last season and nice to finish it at his "home" club, so to speak.
Shouldve went to Rangers, much bigger club than Sheffield. FACT. Play in european football instead of relegation. Must have no ambition left although he wouldve struggled for game time
Everton fan here...Jags was still one of our best defenders over the last couple of seasons when he was able to play. He was the calming head with the likes of Zouma, Mina, Keane, Williams, Holgate showing immaturity, inexperience or in Williams case just a lack of giving two hoots. The problem is that he has struggled to play 2 games in a row and injuries have been catching up with him.
Sadly its just a signing to get the fans cheered up a bit. He's 36 and will probably be limited to sub appearances and cover if required for injuries.
Nice to see him progressing and moving up to a much better team and club. Couldn't stay at his previous small club forever.
Jags left some stand out moments behind when he left The Lane (the real one), in goal against Millwall and Arsenal, the latter he was immense. Then 2 goals that really stand out the belter against Leeds in League Cup, and the winner v Boro at the Kop when we won 2-1.
Pace might have gone, but class never leaves you, good luck Jags
110 yes it is mate I think we'll be okay but Jags is a calming influence hopefully, and hopefully we've not come up to make up numbers.
