17. Posted by Harvey_the_whiteSo they are changing an experienced Premier Leagud manager for someone who has had one season in the Championship.I hope they get their just desserts in the future ----------------------------------Does the world stop at the English Channel for you?One season in the Championship, preceded by taking Ostersund from Sweden's 4th div. to Europe.
Graham Potter is a good manager, and the vast majority of the Swansea City supporters will be sorry to see him go, but most wont be blaming him given the complete lack of support afforded him by the current owners. Until they are bought out, I'm afraid there's only one way Swansea will go, and that wont be in the direction that we would hope for. They are ruining a perfectly good club.
Just been going through recent comments .... clicked like/unlike on anything with 13! Good luck to Graham and hopefully he can bring in some attacking play, Sadly, after CH's great job after the past few years, it's time to move on. Am hoping the South African Percy Tau gets his work permit. Could be a good replacement for Glen Murray.......
Potter did exceptionally well under awful circumstances for the Swans last season. Feels like real kick in the teeth to see him go.Can we blame the Yanks for this? What do you do when the manager says he wants to go?Install Cameron Toshack with an experienced head guiding him.
I fear for Swansea next season with the possibilities of losing more players from the squadThe American owners need to get a grip of the transfers to stop players leaving the club and not line their own pockets otherwise I do not see a positive future for this great club
Swansea are now just a selling club so why should any ambitious manager stay there. They will get out at first decent offer. American owners obviously not interested in attempting to get playing success by speculating so I'm afraid, for Swans, the only way is down from here on.Pity but there it is unless new owners can be found to buy the yanks out.
Good luck Mr Potter and hope Brighton can start playing some decent Football under your management.
No loyalty left in football. Such a shame but good luck to him. Hope Swansea get someone in asap who plays the same style
Failed GCSE this year but will be taking A-Level next year.:-)
Sad to see Potter go but managers like him are the future and you can't blame him for taking the opportunity that's been offered to him. I just hope whoever replaces him at Swansea will continue the return back to the 'Swansea Way' of playing attractive and attacking football. Potter gave the youngsters a chance too, and I hope this continues. I wish him the best of luck at Brighton.
Potter is a young English manager brought through a load of young players at Swansea and plays good football. HYS is a pretty strange thing if one of the usual suspects Big Sam, McClaren, Hughes had been appointed the same people would have been saying why not appoint a young English manager who plays good football instead of the dinosaurs.Do not get HYS sometimes.
@292 No sour grapes, just imagine supporting a club like Brighton, thats just horrible !! , a nothing club!! nobody talks about Brighton apart from on here when you get a manager who will be sacked by Xmas anyway and nobody will care 😂😂
Bad mistake by Brighton. Chris is a proper football man, and knows what he is doing at Premier League level. Yes, they slipped off towards the end of the year, but still made the cup semi. There are a couple of weak teams coming up in Norwich and Sheffield United, so Brighton with Hughton would easily stay up next year. To appoint Potter, who finished 10th in the league below is utter madness.
