QPR 1-2 Blackburn: Danny Graham and Bradley Dack score to secure third win in a row

Danny Graham scores Blackburn's opening goal at QPR from the penalty spot
Danny Graham converted a penalty for Blackburn after Lewis Travis was fouled

Blackburn Rovers picked up their third successive win as a Danny Graham penalty and a Bradley Dack finish helped them beat managerless QPR.

Graham converted from the spot midway through the first half after Lewis Travis was fouled by Josh Scowen.

Dack doubled their lead moments into the second half after Joe Lumley kept out his initial header from an Adam Armstrong cross.

Matt Smith headed in a stoppage-time consolation from Luke Freeman's cross for Rangers, who are still not mathematically safe with three games to play.

QPR caretaker boss John Eustace said a knee injury to midfielder Jordan Cousins, who had to be stretchered off in the second half, looked "a bad one."

His side had their chances as Bright Osayi-Samuel twice went close in the first half before Pawel Wszolek also saw an effort well saved by Rovers keeper Jayson Leutwiler.

Rovers climb to 14th, while QPR stay 17th, eight points ahead of Rotherham in the last of the relegation places.

QPR caretaker manager John Eustace:

"I'm disappointed with the performance but the attitude of the lads was fantastic. They kept going.

"The most disappointing thing was the goals we conceded - poor decision-making. We also created a lot of chances and it's disappointing we didn't take them.

"We've made two really poor decisions for the goals and started the second half so sloppily. But the attitude of the boys was good, which it is every week."

Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray:

"We came just to play today, play with two strikers and two wide players.

"We got in behind them a lot, had the better chances, and I think the result was right. Their directness gave us some problems but we deserved to win.

"Dack and Graham scored and that's 17 and 16 goals for them this season, which isn't a bad return."
