FC Halifax and Ebbsfleet played out a goalless National League draw at The Shay.

Chances proved few and far between, although Ebbsfleet's point keeps them in play-off contention, two points behind seventh-placed Eastleigh.

Home goalkeeper Sam Johnson produced a fine save to deny Michael Cheek's header from close range six minutes before half-time.

Immanuelson Duku had Halifax's best chance after the break but could not keep his header down.

Although Halifax could not find a way through the Ebbsfleet defence, the draw was enough for Jamie Fullarton's men to move up to 13th in the table.
