Stevenage 2-0 Swindon Town

Alex Revell and Ilias Chair were on target as Stevenage claimed a 2-0 League Two victory over Swindon for their first league win against Town in five years.

Veteran striker Revell's 36th-minute header and Chair's late long-range effort did the damage as Boro ended a miserable run of five games without a win to get their play-off hopes back on track.

Stevenage could have won by more if not for a string of excellent saves from Swindon goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux, who first denied Michael Timlin after two minutes before thwarting Chair not long after.

Town would have led moments later if stopper Paul Harman had not done brilliantly to tip Keshi Anderson's long-range thunderbolt over the bar.

Timlin lashed just wide with a fierce left-footed strike and Revell headed inches past the upright. But the pressure finally told nine minutes before half-time as Revell's diving header from Joel Byrom's cross caught Vigouroux cold.

After a low-key second half, Vigouroux went up for an injury-time corner and was caught out again when Chair lobbed him from inside his own half.
