West Ham Women defender Brooke Hendrix has been banned for three games after being found to have stamped on an opponent in a FA Continental Tyres League Cup loss to Manchester United.

The American, 25, was involved in an incident with United's Jess Sigsworth during the first half of the tie.

Hendrix had denied the Football Association charge of violent conduct.

Sigsworth scored Manchester United's second in a 2-0 victory on Wednesday to take them into the semi-finals.

The incident involving Hendrix and Sigsworth was not seen by the match officials but was caught on video.
