FA Trophy: Wrexham 3-0 Boston United
Wrexham eased their way into the second round of the FA Trophy with a comfortable 3-0 win over Boston United.
Wrexham, FA Trophy winners in 2013 and runners-up in 2015, were two goals up in the first 10 minutes courtesy of Chris Holroyd and Mike Fondop.
Paul Rutherford added Wrexham's third before half-time after a quick counter caught out the Boston defence.
Boston could not find a way back into the contest and never really tested Christian Dibble in the Wrexham goal.
Wrexham caretaker manager Graham Barrow said:
"It was a bit of a nervous one but the team settled down very quickly and it was a test of the squad which they have come through well.
"It's hard for players when they don't start the game well to turn it around and we had spoke about it before we started so it was really good from them.
"Boston posed a threat and we were lucky not to concede just before half time but second half was very comfortable really."
