Queen's Park goalkeeper Jordan Hart questioned what sport Connah's Quay Nomads were playing as his side were dumped out of the Challenge Cup.
Lewis Hawke put the Scottish League Two side ahead after the break, but goals from George Horan and Michael Wilde put the Welsh side into the semi-finals.
"I think Scottish football takes a lot of stick for our type of football," man of the match Hart told BBC Alba.
"But I don't even know what we just took part in - it wasn't football."
Hart turned a Michael Bakare drive on to a post and a Wilde header on to the bar as the amateurs were put under early pressure by their full-time opponents at Hampden Park.
The pressure from the side sitting second in the Welsh Premier League continued after the break until striker Hawke fired low into the far corner with a rare home attack.
Nomads manager Andy Morrison immediately sent on Rob Hughes and the substitute turned the game in the final 10 minutes to end the Spiders' six-game unbeaten run.
Wilde headed the midfielder's cross to the back post in front of goal and Horan turned it over the line.
Four minutes later and Hughes weaved into the box and Michael Parker flicked on for Wilde to fire low past Hart.

"I don't what sport that was, but we came under pressure from a lot of direct balls - I wouldn't even call it direct football," the goalkeeper said.
"We dealt with most of it, but sadly in the end we came undone."
Nomads manager Morrison thought his side got "the result we deserved" and was delighted to reach the last four of the competition.
"We can't keep dominating games like we did in the first half and not put the games to bed because you leave yourself open to one ball over the top because that's Queen's Park's only shot on target on the night," he added.
"We had to be brave in the end and go almost 2-4-4 and we got the reward we deserved."
