Harrogate Town 4-2 Barrow

Harrogate moved to within two points of National League leaders Salford after three goals in six second-half minutes sparked a 4-2 home win against Barrow.

Trailing to a 32nd-minute deflected strike from John Rooney, brother of former England and Manchester United captain Wayne, the hosts struck back after the break in impressive style.

Joe Leesley's cross eight minutes after the break was meant for Jack Muldoon but was diverted into his own net by Kyle Jameson.

Muldoon was not to be denied and three minutes later Jack Emmett teed him up to fire into the top corner from just inside the penalty area.

When Barrow goalkeeper Andy Firth's loose clearance was seized upon by Josh Falkingham, the hosts' blitz was complete.

There was no way back for the shell-shocked visitors and Leesley's free-kick was steered home by Mark Beck in the 69th minute as Harrogate, after just two wins in their previous six matches, moved up to fourth despite Tyler Smith flicking home Rooney's free-kick for a late consolation.
