Yannick Bolasie: Aston Villa sign Everton winger on season-long loan

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has joined Championship side Aston Villa on a season-long loan deal.
The 29-year-old joined the Toffees from Crystal Palace in 2016 for a fee of £25m on a five-year contract.
DR Congo international Bolasie had been linked with a move to Villa's promotion rivals Middlesbrough.
"My main aim here is to get this club promoted. A club of this stature has to be in the Premier League," Bolasie told the Aston Villa website.
"I looked around both Villa Park and the training ground, and me and my family just said 'wow'. It's Premier League everywhere you look."

I was never sure that he as good enough for Everton and with the injuries we'll never know. Everton have moved on.
Hope it works out for Villa and they get back to the top league where they deserve to be - a great club with a proud history.
That said I haven't forgiven them for 1977 League Cup Final.

So good luck to him at the Villa, he deserves a break after such a bad injury !!
Considering he missed most of the last 1 and half years with a serious knee injury, then you might sound like you know what you're talking about, good luck Yannick, come back stronger
as a Boro fan i was concerned about fitness we need to move on & get some pace & creativity in.
good luck to him & villa except when they play us.
UTB!
And what team is it that you support?? We are not even close to being a joke club we are successful historical and a great great club
We still need another out and out forward - Tammy Abraham, maybe?
We also need to see Mile Jedinak moved out of the central defensive role that he clearly can't play.
Still, a sea-change from where we were just over a month ago, so still just feeling utter relief that Villa aren't in administration.

£25m players in championship, on ruddy loan?

Norwich (a Championship club) signed James Maddison for £20m this past summer. Salford, a non league team, signed a player from SPL side Aberdeen because they offered him more money.
Times have changed at all levels of football.
