@979If that was still true, why are so many BBC news heads now at Tory Central Office or Downing Street??
The fans provide the passion, whichmakes the game the spectacle that we all want to see. Try broadcasting games played in front of empty stadiums, and the armchair fans will soon switch off
I suppose whilst we all support the game and pay good money to watch our clubs, the PL clubs will continue charging obscene prices for match day tickets. It's a bit like the argument against club strips. We should boycott them for a season and give them something to think about.
If this was the case that fans money was not needed to make good profit, why did Daniel Levy and Tottenham Hotspur refuse to refund my season ticket after I informed them I would not be able to attend the remaining games of the season due to a heart attack I'd had, in part caused by Spurs?
What is point of article, is it jealousy of PL making money and being successful ?BBC employ six in reporting team = BBC take money via licence fee do not have to earn it = massive wastefulness and political agendas bankrolled.Russia, China have abandoned left wing dogma only North Korea, Islington and BBC keeping the faith.
Jose & Klopp sold out a long time ago...overpriced rubbish.hopefully Arsenal or Burnley will do well this season,.unlike the Mancs clubs,;)
Why wasnt the focus of the article on reducing EPL ticket prices or praising clubs who are fiscally intelligent. Having read the article, I'm not sure what the point of it was other than feeding us a bunch of facts that are loosely associated.
Gota love Ramos - great reply to klippity
Few/no fans at matches?Sounds like the SPL.......But, most teams in Scotland run on fumes, and get sweet fa from anywhere........ excluding of course the weegie mafia, who run the game up there, and skim at every opportunity, at the expense of the beautiful game (and tax payer) Disgusting and depressing.
It’s a blip, equilibrium will prevail.Similarly with mankind, in ten thousand years there will be no borders and we’ll all be one colour with religion an ancient relic.Just who the “we” will be is an interesting thought though. My money isn’t on the meek.
If teams don’t need fans why are they all building bigger stadia, stadia’s, stadium’s, oh sod it, grounds.
Yes they should have no fans, play crowd sound out loud in stadiums for atmosphere. Also have cardboard cut-outs of fans sitting in chairs. Some can be cyborgs, instead of cardboard, and they could fight or be racist for that ultimate realism feel.
