6 articles in a day saying exactly the same thing. The bbc are a sad joke. Employ some decent journalists for once. Still no article on the biggest fraud in british football !http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/08/24/watford-fined-4m-forging-banking-letter-ingino-pozzos-takeover/I refuse to pay the TV tax. Make the bbc pay for view NOW. The bbc won't exist in a year .....
105. McLaren managed to get Newcastle relegated after spending 80 million on players,he failed at derby, failed at forest, failed with England failed at twente second time round,do I need to go on.hes had 2 good seasons in years and years of managment.if winning a trophy means you are good then that means you would take McLaren over say pochettino, would you? Get real man
105. A lot more than you fella.look past that and see how their careers have gone the last few years.winning the league in Scotland is also no scale of how good a manger you are
stop banging on about not appointing an English manager, it's not an English league anymore
Everything is imported except the pies.
so many braindead people crying that we sack managers for the sake of it. how quickly did we sign up a new manager? and not just any manager but a highly reputable one. just show's the board know what they're doing. we've been in a rut for a while now and 10th place obviously is not the full story if you look at how many points above the relegation zone we are. open your eyes you grandpas
@105 I think it’s pretty obvious why we didn’t appoint either when the best you can list for both of them is a league cup victory and league wins in Scotland and the Netherlands. As opposed to a younger manager famous for his organisation and taking points off of big clubs. Look where Malaga are now!
100 McLaren league Cup with Bro,Dutch title with Twente, McLeish god knows how many SPL titles Rangers,League Cup with Birmingham. How much do you know about footy. This Gracia guy C.V. Says won nowt & he gets a Job in the richest league. Pep Mel & Bob Bradley thinks bloke Watford you are down.
I can live with "effective over thrilling" if it means security in the premiership and a 10th place finish which was looking very uncertain with Silva remaining. I think with what the Pozzo family have done for the club we have to have faith that they know what they are doing, change can be good!
@101 whilst I agree if we find the right manager we should stick with him, silvas form was bad enough and having watched the games as a fan it was clearly more than just a blip. A new manager often gives a short term boost which is what we need now. Being 10th means little as we are 4 points worse than this time last season (when enough people wanted Mazzarri to leave) and 4 points off 18th now.
The only loser here in my opinion are WFC, they have become a laughing stock to most other football fans due to the way the club is run. They blame EFC yet it is they that made the statement which made them look ridiculous. Silva will go off with a massive compensation deal and I guarantee he will be back in management soon with a bigger and better club than Watford. You have a new mug now..
I would like to see some stats that show if changing your manager actually translates to a noticeable increase in success over the long term. That is without significant investment in other areas of the club. Clubs should learn to think longer than the end of the month and gauge success against investment. Watford are already a lot of places (possibly an entire league) higher than you would expect
