Guiseley 1-1 Chester

Ashley Palmer equalised in the third minute of added time to earn Guiseley a draw in their National League clash at home to relegation rivals Chester.

Kingsley James put Chester in front in the 61st minute after great work from James Akintunde, who held the ball up well before playing his team-mate in with a fine through ball.

The hosts had their chances, most notably in the first half when Rowan Liburd cracked a shot against the bar, while four minutes from time Mike Fondop's header was superbly saved by Sam Hornby.

But, just as they looked to be heading for another defeat, second-bottom Guiseley grabbed a leveller as Palmer turned the ball home following a goalmouth scramble.

They remain in deep trouble, eight points from safety, although the draw at least kept them level with their opponents.
