Match ends, Leeds United 1, Norwich City 0.
Pontus Jansson's header gave Leeds United victory over Norwich City to leave Thomas Christiansen's side a point off the Championship's top six.
Leeds threatened from set-pieces and Jansson rose highest to convert Pawel Cibicki's corner via the far post.
Alex Pritchard went closest to levelling for Norwich, beating goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald but seeing his effort come back off the bar.
Samuel Saiz also struck the woodwork for Leeds after going through on goal.
Defeat for the Canaries leaves them 16th, having won only one of their past nine league matches.
Norwich had enough chances to level in a stop-start game, but were denied a penalty after Nelson Oliveira fell on the edge of the box.
Wiedwald also prevented Pritchard from point-blank range shortly before half-time.
Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen told BBC Radio Leeds:
"The speech of their coach was to come here for one point, and that made it even more difficult because they stayed back.
"In the first half, most of the things we did were with set-pieces. In the second half, we had more opportunities, more approach, and we had one big one from Samuel [Saiz] where we could have closed the game. But the three points is what counts and what I take with me.
"The confidence is going up and victories give this confidence. We have another clean sheet on the count - this is positive."
Norwich City boss Daniel Farke told BBC Radio Norfolk:
"I think it was a really good away game. I think in general it was a pretty close game - Leeds' performance was a good one as well - but in the first half, we were the better team.
"The problem is we had the two or three chances you get in an away game and were not able to use them. In addition to that, we had a clear penalty after 45 minutes on Oliveria, but we can't influence the situation so we have to accept the decision.
"The problem was we gave away perhaps a bit too many set-pieces. One of their biggest threats is Pontus Jansson at a set-piece, and we spoke a lot about this."
